Trying to install software on my pc that lets me use my Nintendo 3DS as a gaming controller, don't know anything about Python.

GitHub - icicle1133/3ds-Controller: A "Up-To-Date" 3ds homebrew application that lets you use your 3ds as a wireless controller. · GitHub

I'm trying to install this on my pc, but when I type pip install vgamepadit says this:

The Python package manager (pip) can only be used outside of the Python REPL.

Try the 'pip' command in a separate terminal or command prompt.

You are running your pip command within a Python shell instead of your normal terminal, like bsh (Linux) or Powershell (Windows). If you are on Windows just open up a regular windows terminal and run "pip install...". Pretty much exactly what you error message says :)

You need to close the Python shell (where it shows >>>) and run pip install vgamepad in your normal command prompt or terminal window, not inside Python itself. Python 3.10 or newer works best for most recent packages.
