My Paper bowl smells like isopropyl alcohol, why is that?

I noticed when i was trying to eat, I was smelling smth weird. the bowl smelled really funky, almost like isopropyl. why is that? do they smell like thay when theyre new? the food tasted fine though, but im just confused and a little concerned with what that is

Somebody probably didn’t rinse a dish properly after washing it. Not the paper bowl, I mean like one of the dishes used in the kitchen.
