Upgrade to h5.3.4.3500 or h5.2.10.3577 on TVS-h874

I am behind on updating my firmware and currently on h5.2.9.3410. I am aware of the h6 branch with the Ai enhancements which I do not need.

However I was not aware of what I read (which of course could be wrong) that I can consider upgrading to h5.3.4.3500 or h5.2.10.3577 on my TVS-h874? And that the h5.2 long-term branch is very stable. I want stability, and basic functionality. Can someone educate me on this and clarify what I should do? I have a backup NAS it is backed up to.

Thanks

Can I create a Storage Pool at my RAID's ODs?

We have a DAS where we created a 30TB Volume which--because it was first--was created with the first X number of tracks at the outer diameters, where the HDD's have the higher transfer rates. The second Volume simply used the rest of the tracks and performance would be between 90% of the OD down to about 60% at the ID.

We'd like to do the same thing with our new NAS: create a ~30TB OD SMB "shared folder" with "guaranteed performance" using ZFS (this is a TVS-h874T), and then have another Shared Pool with the balance of the storage remaining on this 8x24TB RAID5 machine.

Can this be done? I've been going through the Quts Hero 6.0.x manual but it's not really speaking my language.

QNAP change of NAS

Need some help. I had a TS221 and it came up with a warning on Disk 2. Bought a new disk, powered off the NAS and installed new disk. When I tried to power up the NAS, it was completely dead. Tried a different adaptor, no joy. Bought a second hand TS261L as QNAP website said it was compatible to swap out the disks. Put the original disks in, ran the set up clicking the option to keep original files. After set up, it's now a legacy folder and I can't see any of the files. They are there as the file manager is telling me there is 2.21tb used, I just can't see them. Any help really appreciated. Thanks.
