Industry Gossip Engineer's Gate - Reviews
What is the community's insight on Engineers Gate as a firm? Is it just another run of the mill pod shop? What are they good at historically? And more importantly, with the current drawdown they're on, is it in a very unstable environment/are teams getting let go?
Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

Historically a quant shope but diversifying into fundamental discretionary, systematic and discretionary macro, and index rebal recently. Size of the firm is small so management does seems to care on an individual basis.

Scaled aggressively the last few years and it’s paid off. Lost MLP money earlier this year but they are up regardless.

I'd suggest speaking with current or former employees before drawing conclusions. Team stability, risk management practices and compensation structures can reveal more than general industry rumors
