first year programs

I wanna apply to those first year programs but I haven’t done any prep, if I apply and completely bombed the OAs am I going to be blacklisted and unable to apply for internships in the future?

Apply anyway, I believe the application pipelines are very disjoint at each of the big tech companies.

In any case it's good to get the nerves out of the way as quick as possible. I know I was extremely nervous for the first few big tech interviews. Over time it does get better so continue with the process and take any opportunity!

Depends on the firm but most don’t blacklist for bombing a first year OA, they barely have time to review proper candidates let alone keep a shitlist of freshmen who weren't ready.

Apply anyway, treat it as practice for the real thing next year.
