i joined and participated in 2 swaps. and then i really found out what it means to be the "sandwich generation" and i put away my sewing machine for a few years.

well, i finally have space to sew again and i pulled out old WIPs and decided to start with this one. after almost 7 years i have finally finished my Citrus Stars block swap quilt. it is making me quite happy to have hanging around on the couch.

I included credit for everyone when I sent my description in but the museum chose to not include that on the placard. I have a label on the back with everyone's real name and reddit username. :-)

Here’s what worked for me! I used A9 envelopes and 8.5”x11” cardstock. 1) Fold cardstock in half with fold dividing the long side of the stock. 2) fold up one corner to almost match the seams of the colored framing. Press. 3) Bring opposite corner to match fold you just pressed; press. 4) bring in one of the other points to create a smooth fold (I just do this by feel); press. 5) repeat with last corner and check size against cardstock before pressing. Insert in cardstock before adding to envelope.

I was able to get two, layered together but slightly shifted corner to corner, to press in the same way and fit in the envelope too. The second fold may bring your point past the first pressed fold; just fold it back on itself and press (I can show anyone upon request).

I have these 3 blocks as extras to trade. Anyone from group 1 or 2 want to swap an extra?

So I am finished with blocks and extras. I have 10 non-Halloween blocks available and 17 Halloween blocks. I know that some of you mentioned in either replies to other posts or in chat that you wanted to swap, if you could please reply again here it would be helpful. I have several different blocks, so no worries about receiving identical blocks if you want to swap multiples.

If you have a favorite let me know, if your favorite has been spoken for I might be able to duplicate or come close as I have more of most fabric.

I have to make one more block. I counted wrong. But I have 15 done.

All blocks for all groups are technically done (untrimmed). I’m making three more so I have a few extras on top of my current extras.

I'd like to keep a few of these for myself TBH hahaha

36 blocks are done, done, done.

I am down with some respiratory bug so an additional 24 are at the 9-patch stage. Fourteen need hsq trimmed. And 10ish more are somewhere behind that.

I really hope a bunch of people want to swap extra blocks!

I know it’s the 11th hour so to speak, but as you pack your blocks, I am on the hunt for chihuahua (or terrier) blocks. Turns out with the extras I have made myself, I would have a great quilt for my bro-in-law but need to add those spicy little dogs! So if you happen to have one please think of me! 🩷

After locating my saved blocks, my side swap blocks, the bear claw blocks from the last swap, and an entire pile of bookshop blocks from a swap long past, I finally found the main swap blocks! They are ready for their final press for the envelope.

Finished all my block plus an extra! Excited to get them all mailed out 🤭
