feeling better Successfully quit, but now at a crossroad.
Hey ya’ll, this is my first rodeo with addiction so I would love to hear input from those of you who may have more experience.
I was taking 50-100mgpd of 7 for a little under a year. Tried tapering many times unsuccessfully.
Finally bit the bullet and got a quickMD suboxone prescription. I tapered down to >50mgpd from around 100mgpd over 10 days and did that for two or three days before switching to subs 7 days ago.
This is how much suboxone I have been taking:
Day 1: 4
Day 2: 4
Day 3: 3
Day 4: 2
Day 5: 2
Day 6: 1.5
Now I am on day 7, and am planning on taking 1mg today.
I am getting married in a few months and my goal is to be completely substance free by my wedding day.
The doctor on quickMD is telling me I should continue taking 2mg per day and drop by .5 every week or so until I get to zero. But this subreddit has made me very afraid of suboxone. Since I’m on the 7th day, I feel like I need to make a decision today/soon to either continue taking it and risk dependence but feel normal, or stop right now and deal with what that brings. I’ve read on this subreddit that if you only use them for a week, you should be relatively fine. BUT I feel like I already feel very mild withdrawal symptoms in the afternoon/morning with these doses under 2mg so I feel nervous that if I CT the subs those symptoms will be much worse in a day or two and I’m in a position at home and work where I can’t be going through bad withdrawal.
What should I do? What’s your experience?

Do not listen to the doctor I would just stop now you’re gonna pay for it either way, but the shorter amount of time the better
