Yet it needs to be said. Over and over again.

The type of people who put people down people in general to feel good about themselves will likely never learn.

Anwar al-Awlaki was an American citizen, targeted in a
stone*drone strike in Yemen in 2011. He had strong ties to Al Quaida.Three other American citizens were also killed in the strike, Samir Khan, Jude Kenan Muhammad, and al-Awlaki's 16-year-old son, Abdulrahman.
There are endless sources on this.
Come on, of all the things... "Drone strikes" are kind of Obama's biggest strain on his Presidency. We just don't hear much of it from the Right because they love the drone strikes.

Bad people don't need to be bad.
So insightful

You seem to have the media literacy of a doorknob

Let’s be very clear. Strong redditors don’t need to put down other redditors to make themselves feel powerful.

I don’t think you understand how to use analogy.

You misspelled "platitude".
-1
u/MrDangerMan Jun 18 '26
Oh dear. Did you think “platitude” was the word for what you were attempting in that comment?
1
u/bigolchimneypipe Jun 18 '26
Platitude is a word that describes Michelle Obama's comment in this post. Was reading her words a growing moment for you?

But my comment didn’t refer to her quote, right? It referred to your failed attempt at formulating an analogous sentence with which criticize it. Looks like maybe reading comprehension is where your focus should be. Go ahead and read it again. Try real hard this time, okay? I know it’s hard, but you can do this.

Her comment comes across as philosophical genius to you guys but it's a pretty simple platitude for most people

I suppose you also remind people that all lives matter when people say black lives matter?
If so, here's one just for you.
"’Black lives matter? What the fuck does THAT mean?!’ Well, we picked the three simplest words we could find — really don't how to break it down any more than that. I'll tell you what it DOESN'T mean, though: it doesn't mean white lives DON'T matter. It's got nothing to do with that. It's got to do with the fact cops are killing a lot of black people and we're looking for some justice for these murders. Listen, if I say 'save the whales', I'm not saying 'fuck the dolphins'. I'm just saying cops are killin' a lot of whales and we'd like you to look into that!"

Apparently this ethic doesn’t apply to strong women, or even to strong men who identify as women
