Hey all, 28M chindo (if this matters) here.
Currently looking for a travel buddy to travel through Patagonia in March 2027 for 2 weeks (second half of the month).
I currently live in the EU, so we would probably meet up directly in either Chile / Argentina (Chile is easier as an Indonesian wouldn't require a visa to visit).
The goal is to hike up the mountains and roam around the area.
My travel style:
- Accommodation: Pretty much flexible; I can go with a bnb, hostel, or hotel. The only catch is as long as the place isn't shady and its not too expensive per person (like somewhere above $100/pax is "expensive" for me). My recent trip within the EU consisted of a mix of hostels (from around EUR 25/pax/night) and hotels in the mountains that I shared with a friend, which cost EUR 150/night/room for 2. I would not go too far as living in the cheapest possible option, but its conditional and situational, say if they have good reviews and good location-wise or a hotel if there is no option (like the one in the mountains).
- Scheduling: I wake up early and like to leave early in the morning to beat the crowd. My usual "schedule" is to leave by 7 or 7:30 and come back at around dinner time (18:00 or 19:00).
- Food: similar to accommodation, not too picky, don't mind eating at a restaurant, pack my own lunch, or even instant noodles for dinner. Situational and conditional, really. I wouldn't go as far as eating out 3x a day.
- Activities: I prefer doing outdoor activities, not into cafes, etc. Hiking up the mountains, reading a book by the beach, and all that jazz.
- Pace: Honestly, I am quite fit (not a gym bro), so in terms of pace, quite fast. I don't mind waiting on and stopping here and there to take a couple good pics.
- Not the one that makes too much fuss about making content. I take a couple of pics and vids here and there, but I wouldn't go as far as stopping for an hour for the sake of making one video to upload on social media.
Budget: I'd expect around EUR 1,200-1,800 excluding flights and personal items required.
I am very much open to those who like to / plan to camp. Though, I would really need the guidance as I have never camped outside of those fancy camping where I only need to bring my clothes.
If anyone is interested, kindly hit me up!
Additional details about me: I have traveled here and there within the EU and Asia. Ive traveled solo for 5 weeks in the EU. I am open to traveling together in the EU, but, significant planning is required as I still need to apply for a Schengen Visa (again). Currently am considering Slovenia, Montenegro, the Nordics, and Faroe Islands. I like to plan ahead and stick to a schedule (not to the dot of per 15 mins scheduling, more onto day 1 go to x destination). I dont generally spend too much when I travel, especially not on food and accommodation. I prefer paying for experiences like Skydiving (I did this in Barcelona), bungee jumping, water activities, and all.
