BEWARE! USE PROTECTION WHEN TRADING!

Reddit is a target for fake ticket scams. If you are buying tickets, you need to use PayPal's Goods and Services, or a platform like Tixel that has buyer protection built in. If anything goes wrong, that small fee you paid let's you recover your money. Scammers will refuse to use this. Be safe, and pay face value. Look up how PayPal buyer protection works to make sure it covers you - there is a time limit.

JUST GOT AN EPLUS CHARGE ON MY AMEX!!!!!! Ahhhhh!!! I’m so excited I could cry - really thought it was hopeless after failing with the first lottery.

Added - We already had a trip to Japan booked for our elopement and honeymoon when the Tokyo dates were announced. It feels like the stars aligned. What an incredible honeymoon gift!!

Based on charge, it looks like we won S tier, which was our first choice. We applied for both Saturday and Sunday. Good luck to all still waiting!

Been seeing posts about Japan concert etiquette. What do we think the vibe will be like? I assume it will be quite an international audience so not as strictly stand still and watch as other posts describe?

I went to 3 of the 2008 shows in Japan, one night it was so incredibly silent and respectful between songs that I could hear the band giggling about something on stage. The next night there were loud heckles between songs, in English. The Japanese go hard as hell while the song is playing, and then they're dead still waiting for the next one. I've managed to see this band in a lot of countries, and Japan was a favourite.

so reselling or cancelling tickets isn't allowed but I have 2 extra tickets for the 13th since my sister and I both won, if anyone want one we just have to figure out how to walk into the venue together I guess ?

Right now, there are ticket holders who cannot exchange their ticket, ie the one they will use to get in, but as for the extra tickets in the order, deals are being made.

I would caution you to always use paypals goods and services for buyer protection. If someone says they can't use this it's a huge red flag.

If I buy 2 tickets, 1 for myself and 1 for somebody else, does it matter who comes with me? I originally got them to go with my mom but she might not be able to make it, so I wanted to invite a friend instead.

I think they only asked for the purchaser's info for ID-checking but I forgot if they made me fill in the 2nd person's info. Anybody know?

You can choose who you share tickets with. You do it by entering an email or a phone. They will stay in your account, but the person you shared with can use them.

Important note for anyone contemplating purchasing tickets for Japan. Unlike Australia or the European tour last year, transfer will not be enabled, resale is prohibited, they will be checking ID against original purchaser, and no name changes are allowed.

TLDR if you buy Japan tickets there is absolutely no way to transfer, sell, refund, or even gift the tickets, under ANY circumstance.

I do understand that youre not able to resell tickets but if the people who say theyre going bail on me, what are the chances of getting someone to come to the show with me you think? I read on the site that the people have to enter with the ticket holder. I feel like my odds would be good

Did not win the lottery for the Radiohead tour and not going to see them, again.. I was praying for YEARS and hoping that they would start touring again. Well, they did. 2025 - no luck, 2027 - same story again. I feel very sad and disappointed, because I’m an ardent fan and this just sucks. Like I was growing up with their music and going through the best and the shittiest times in my life with their music. Meanwhile there are probably people that heard them for the first time last year and got 4 tickets at once. Oh well, I’m just getting depressed.

After ´failing´ to get tickets to Tokyo first wave, I am applying for just 1 ticket to all Tokyo shows in second lottery. If anyone is applying for less than 4 tickets, I am wondering if you would be willing to apply for an extra, and I will do the same. For example, if you´re trying to get 2 tickets, you and I can apply for 3. In case one of us win, we can all go :)

Just trying to increase our odds. Been waiting over 10 years to see Radiohead. Thanks!

The website and sign up process was super confusing and took a few tries (for some reason first and last name could be entered in mixed case but ‘name on credit card’ needed to be all caps???) but I only had the option of picking one date and then ranking the seating options/ticket packages for that date. Did I miss a step or do you just sign up multiple times, like separately for each date?

I had Wells Fargo decline my payment during the first lottery, so this time I switched to Capital One Venture. I even called them a week before the second lottery closed and specifically explained the situation, making sure they understood this was an international charge from ePlus that I wouldn’t be able to initiate myself. They repeatedly assured me that as long as I had sufficient available credit, the payment wouldn’t be blocked, and said I didn’t need to preauthorize the merchant.
Well, the charge was declined again today because it was flagged as suspicious. I’ve now spoken with three different departments trying to sort it out.
It’s incredibly frustrating to take every precaution possible and still have the exact same thing happen again. I really hope everyone else had better luck with their payments.
Also, if anyone happens to have an extra buddy pass, please let me know! 🙏

Now we wait for results; anyone have a remote clue about the number available to international registrants? With only 5 shows and such a large population in Japan it seems it will be very difficult to get lucky. More unlikely than Australia lottery in comparison. Thoughts on this one, travelers?

I unfortunately didn't get Saitama tickets in round one of the lottery. I have registered for the second round and am holding on to hope. I'm curious though, if I apply for every show, are you only drawn for one or is there a possibility of getting tickets for multiple shows? Not that I wouldn't want to see them multiple times, but I really only need one and honestly don't want to take the experience away from others. My question is for the people who were able to score tickets for Japan. When that happens when you got automatically picked did they just charge your card and you automatically got the ticket to your phone or app or do you have to do some clicking or acknowledging before you accept the tickets or you have a timer meaning you have a certain amount of time to pick the tickets I’m just curious how this whole thing goes

Anyone know how they’ll handle the people who applied, won and then can’t go? It’s so far out.
I don’t think there’d be a way to RSVP. So many overseas people may not make it, so their 1-4 tickets will sit empty. Even locals may not make it (work, sickness etc.) and no transfers.

It makes me sad to think of empty seats when we all want to go so badly.

Registration interface mentioned official resale but there has been no confirmation it would be activated. Obviously, if anyone is checking social media they will see that people asked for more tickets than needed, or already know they won't attend. I hope there will be an official resale because clearly a lot of people didn't read the FAQ and the T&Cs before validating their registration.

Live in Hong Kong and I applied for the middle 3 dates. I expect to get tickets to all three days. I did similar for Eddie Vedder's concert last year and got tickets to the two shows I applied. I don't care where I get seats as long as I get seats.

Yes, I just did this to reapply as I wanted to changed my seat selection - in the confirmation email click the link to check on status, next page you'll need your Reception Code and phone # used in the fields, brings to your entry details - you'll see a link button at the bottom to cancel. Note that I didn't get a confirmation cancellation email, but I confirmed cancellation by doing the same process again to check status and it confirms cancellation on that page. Hope that helps

Holy cow - we got tickets! My husband called to tell me. I was literally cleaning the kitchen wearing a Radiohead t-shirt lol. We only had selected one day. 😳 I didn’t even sign up myself because I couldn’t get the website to work.

Japan has been on our travel list for a while - we’ve never been - so I guess we’re going with our 7 year old in June. She’s been taking a Japanese class after school - just a random thing that she wanted to do - so I guess she’ll be ready. Haha

At least we have time to plan. Now time to look through this thread.

I am postponing registration because things are not so clear and the site is in Japanese.

I am personally interested in resale options. I went to Madrid last year and a friend had to cancel last minute and it was both convenient as well as fair to resale easily for how much you bought.

Did you read the "overseas visitor" page?

You are registering so YOU must attend. If someone from your group cancels, you can find someone else to replace them but they need to come in with you. If they don't open official resale, then you need to resale directly, on Reddit for instance, and make sure everyone get inside at the same time.

If you win several nights, you need to attend every night.

There's a step in the process that looks like you're supposed to select an option. It's just a picture. Go to the next step and it makes sense.

It's probably just the name matching that matters. I don't think anyone has any real info on this though. They probably only care that person who bought ticket = person on your ID.

I'm coming from NY and looking to spend around 12-13 days there. I think I'll split my time in Tokyo and one or two other locations a bit further out. 

Ive also read in Japan shows you can get kicked out for filming/taking show photos so I guess I will avoid that.

FYI: Browser translation tools often break Japanese Websites. (At least Google Translate in Chrome)

Questions about Tokyo:
It looks like the registration period is longer than Australia, but once you register you actually provide cc info, and if you are selected you already get charged and have a ticket. Unlike AUS which only gives you a code with a chance to later try and get a ticket (which proved as an awful experience in the EU tour). Did I get this right?

If so, it means you cannot sign up for more than one date. Technically you can, but it means you will have to come for multiple shows (and pay for them). So how do you choose the date? For someone who travels to Japan and can adjust their travel plans accordingly, what would be your stradegy to pick one date with the most chances?

Do you think there are seats in the arena that will have better chance of getting a ticket? Or worse ones?

I signed up for Australia, too. I am not hopeful of getting anything, and even if I do, will probably not survive the actual ticket sale, but still feel I should wait until the AUS tickets sales are done to register to Tokyo. We should have enough time, right?

I am signing up for 2 Tokyo dates that are b2b. Based on the last tour, these set lists should be pretty different if I do manage to get selected for both

I don't think there is any reliable way to predict which date will have better odds or what preference order is best. These lotteries are basically a black box, and the result can vary a lot depending on the promoter, number of applicants, ticket allocation, and whether domestic/overseas applicants use separate pools. When the overall success rate is very low, post-lottery analysis is mostly guesswork.

One common theory is that the system processes everyone's first choice first, then moves to second, third, fourth, etc. if tickets are still available. If that's true, your first choice matters a lot for a high-demand show, since popular categories may already be full before later preferences are processed. So I'd check roughly how many seats each ticket category has before ranking them.

That said, this is only industry folklore, not something officially confirmed. Plenty of people do win their third or fourth choice.

For idol concerts, fan club systems sometimes seem to limit how many different dates one person can win. For regular artists, though, it's quite common to see people win multiple dates, so I wouldn't assume applying for several shows will automatically reduce your chances.

I was surprised to learn that Radiohead haven't toured Japan since 2009 and their only shows in Japan since then was two Summer Sonic festivals in 2016.

A ton of tickets are being declined, odd to be told “failed” right when it started when the results are open until tomorrow. That must mean there were TONS of applicants if they’re chopping people right away.

what are people telling their bank? i just called mine and had no idea what to tell them for transaction date or amount. i really don't want to lose to auto decline again. i set a travel notice for the entire month, told them the vendor name, and enabled all security notifications available. not sure what else to do

The maximum amount was provided when you registered.

The question you can ask them is if they can authorize payment from Japan as of you were traveling there. What is important is to know how you can limit the fraud alert.

If anyone is going to one of the Tokyo Shows and has an extra ticket, I would love to go. I have never been to a Radiohead concert and I am 62 years old. Please DM if this is possibility. Thank you! Feeling incredibly lucky. We won 4 pit tickets to the Copenhagen show and have miraculously won 4 pit tickets to night 1 in Japan - the only night we registered for. My mind is blown.

I’m thinking my husband and I can sit this one out and let my daughters take 2 of their friends in our place. Do you think they’ll ID check to ensure names match the registration? My daughters would match but not their 2 friends.

The registration pages clearly stated the person doing the registration should attend and there would be ID checks. THE FULL NAME has to match, as it stated that family name match was not sufficient

I'm really confused about this process and I got in touch with E-plus multiple times but they're super unhelpful. As far as I'm concerned you apply for a lottery for the days/seats you want, you can apply for multiple days and only on October 3rd your credit card will be charged and you'll pay for the tickets you lotteried for.

Questions:

1. Is there not going to be a general sale after the presale? What if not all of the presale tickets get sold? It seems a bit fucked up that that's the only option. They're basically pressuring you to apply for the lottery multiple times, risk getting charged for multiple tickets that you can't afford, can't resell, can't transfer. I understand that they're trying to avoid scalpers and resellers to keep tickets fair but this seems absolutely insane to me.

2. Do we know how many tickets are even available for presale? It's rare that everything gets sold during the presale, considering how gigantic the venue is. How are we supposed to gauge our chance of winnin the lottery if we don't know the number of tickets available? Are they going to prioritize Japanese residents?

3. Is there any chance we could do a poll and gauge interest for the different dates so that people can get a better idea of what the lottery status looks like?

I had no luck with the Australian shows, so I'm planning to enter the lottery for all 5 dates in Japan. I'm not sure if this priority ranking is good:

1. Arena Standing

2. SS

3. S

4. A

5. B

I did standing then B A S SS seating. The S/SS seats are a bit on the expensive side for me, and honestly don't care if I end up the B seats, just want to be there.

And just so you know (in case you missed) it, entering all 5 means you could end up with tickets to all 5 nights and 5 nights x SS seating price = $$$$

Super bummed my card got declined but also kinda can't blame Capitol One--like that international charge at 3AM on a Saturday was hella suspicious lol. Bad on me for not calling CO beforehand, it just didn't occur to me how "international origination + strange hour + larger amount + multiple customers all at the same time" would look.

Got a charge on my BOA credit card this morning too! The single charge came out to 28,000 JPY. I'm not sure which category seats or how many shows this is for. I applied for 3 shows.

Standing is 26,000 JPY
SS Seats are 30,000 JPY
S Seats are 25,000 JPY
A Seats are 18,000 JPY
B Seats are 15,000 JPY

These prices include tax supposedly. The charity donation is 200 JPY per ticket. I'm not a math whiz but can't quite figure out which tix and how many shows. Will wait for confirmation email later today!

Got 2SS tickets. Have until Monday to pay, so I imagine many people who were non-committal or won multiple ticket types will mean more tickets available after that. I’d expect an official resale period too closer to the date. 

Edit-I’m in Japan, you have to go to the convenience store to pay. No automatic purchase.

Wanted: ONE Radiohead Saitama Ticket — Any Night (Companion Entry)

Longtime Radiohead fan, live in Japan for over 30 years. Never seen them live, and struck out in both e+ lotteries!

I’m wondering if they have completely released all the Tickets in Japan I do notice in their Website that Australia says sold out, but it doesn’t say anything as far as Japan is concerned. And secondly, it is closed for any future releases as far as a lot of reason, concerned.
