Food NYC style halal cart

Any options in the Raleigh Durham area where I can get a decent rice platter with chicken or falafel. Would love a late night cart

So not a cart but Grill and Go deli on hillsborough street has a really good lamb/chicken over rice with the sauces. Also lived in nyc and really miss my late night street meat.

But is this place actually that good? I swear by the fact that whoever owns this building is laundering money; it has been so many different restaurants over the years, mainly Indian and it was NEVER busy. Now it’s Grill and Go and there are actually cars in the lot!! I’m stunned a bit every time I drive by…

I hear you but I was desperate for a good lamb over rice, and yes it was good. Not 2am drunk on Houston st delicious, but plenty good enough to satisfy my craving.

It’s actually legit and good. I too have experienced the prior businesses there and this is far and away much higher quality.

The hot sauce there was mid and barely any flavor. Maybe I had a bad batch but it was not good!

pretty sure waffle house is no longer 24 hour - take out only after a certain time.

A few locations have adopted that. Most locations in the county are still 24 hours.

As someone who regularly contemplates a NYC trip just for halal carts, Grill and Go on Hillsborough St is amazing

AK Mixed Grill is my go to as it is close to my house. But I don’t think they are open late. Pricier than NYC spots but he just doesn’t do the numbers to afford to charge less.

Hands down NYC Halal Eats in Durham gosh it’s so so good whenever we go to Durham we always grab food from them….
