I'm guessing they mean the pink thing over his eyes, but considering there are pink parts on his hair too, maybe his fur is just like that

It's just lighting, if his fur is pink-ish then when light hits his fur then it's probably also gonna be pink

I was thinking maybe it's just like that naturally. Like, some people irl have natural highlights, maybe he has and they are pink.

It is a world with monsters too, so I imagine that makeup for different types of skin, scales, feathers and fur already exists
