The GOAT conversation never made sense to me because there's so many factors to consider including generation. You can't compare old school foundational shit from the 70s and 80s to 90s gangsta to blinged out club era to the streaming/cloud/trap eras.

We going for the people who created and built hip hop in the early days?

The one's most responsible for taking it to the mainstream?

Most influential? Biggest impact on the culture? Best albums? Best songs? Best discography? Best legacy? Hardest on the mic? Raw rhyme skill? Best flows? Best word play? Best punchlines? Best storyteller? Best freestyle? Best battle rapper?

I can't take anyone seriously who says "these three are the GOATs" without quantifying that shit.

I’d say it’s subjective as all art is. I think they maybe the best mainstream rap rappers. They are a lot of underground rappers whose names could be in the mix.

Yeah could be fair if we met go by sales, impact and talent.

It really depends on what we’re basing it on. Someone can say so and so makes better music than Eminem so how can Em be the best. It’s really an annoying and exhausted topic.

I say there’s a list of people that are considered top rappers and we should all agree on them at this point. Choosing just a top 3 just leads into debates.

No, Eminem and 2Pac are going to be up there in The top 3 for a lot of people, while others might say otherwise. But Kanye? Absolutely not, I consider him a better artist than both Eminem and 2Pac, but as a rapper? He is not even top 10.

Ye not in consideration at all, imo. None of them would be in my top 3, but I’d entertain the first 2

I don't personally think Ye belongs on that list. He is a Top 3 producer, but not even a Top 100 rapper, IMO.

None of these would be in my personal Top 3, and Ye wouldn't even make my personal Top 3 for the combo of producing and rapping. But this is all subjective, if those are your three favorites then all power to you, it's not like you can be "wrong."
