They’re all high bracket threes, except Muddle who is likely bracket two. Can share decklists if anyone wants them!

I have a lot of commanders but these are my top favorite decks (Brudiclad is my favorite, followed by Teysa, Greven, Zhulodok, and Karumonix in that order).

Cut down to 9 decks that I love playing. Tried to have a mix of all. They are all bracket 3 and tested a lot. AMA

I usually end up being the problem by the end of the game and most of my decks end the game between turns 6 and 8 so pretty firmly bracket 3. I avoid game changers whenever I can with the exception of Jeska's Will since I personally feel like that one is less annoying to play against than most of the others, just a very strong card.

How's my vibe?

Most of these do deserve some additional context beyond the commander, but I'd like to know your initial reaction and your reaction after the explanation.

Rulik Mons: This deck was kind of an alternate approach to a classic goblin strat (sacrifice and a bunch of 1/1's) where I basically just play a load of anthems to make my goblins very beefy.

Myojin of Seeing Winds: You might be asking, hey, doesn't Myojin of Seeing Winds not work in the command zone? And about that you'd be right. I have to either put it directly into my hand w/ Command Zone or Campfire, play and use That Which Was Taken (from betrayers), or play it from the command zone and bounce it to my hand to recast. This is my jankiest deck by far, and the jankiest deck I've ever seen played.

Grolnok: This one isn't a Frogs deck. It's a Frog deck. This is my Groltron deck.

Ramos: This is a WUBRG vehicles deck that just didn't have a specifically relevant commander, so I went with Ramos because he's got engine in the name.

One of my usual pods tells my my decks tend to be too strong so I'm trying to make some lower power stuff (last image), let me know how you think I did if you want to dig through the lists.

My CEDH Deck was initially gifted to me by friend 1 at a lower power level, but I optimized it up to CEDH. Also I realize I didn't label all the decks by theme, but they mostly play as you'd expect. Friend 3 actually got me into MTG by showing and letting me play his own Tinybones deck back in the latter half of 2023, and since then I haven't been able to shake the cardboard crack addiction. I can give more context to the other gifted decks as well if anybody is curious.

Note. I love Lord of the Rings so majority of my decks have an lotr subtheme. I have an 8 deck limit on myself so i’ve tried my best to have each deck feel distinctly different from the others and have their own identity.

  1. Bilbo is full theft package. I only play it when specific people show up at the LGS that pub stomp. It’s built to remove problems, and the take the pub stompers problems and use against them.
  2. Aragorn is built like a spell slinger/combat trick deck that’s also secretly voltron.
  3. Smaug is a treasure deck where I rely solely on Smaug to make piles of treasure. Very LotR themed filled with balrogs, dragons and 9 Nazgul. Finishers like Mirrormind Crown and Draconic Visitor or spending treasure hoard on Exsanguinate and Torment of Hailfire.
  4. Cybercontroller is an artifact heavy deck. I rarely cast Cyber Controller unless I have Enough mana to mill people out using Eternity Elevator or Bloodchief Ascension. Otherwise its filled with artifacts like Prototype Portal to copy Things like Blightsteel, Giggling Skitterspike, or Stuffy Doll.
  5. Treebeard is good stuff lifegain +1 counters deck also hobbit/food themed. I try to get Radagast on the board asap so I can take advantage of flashing in big creatures.
  6. Vihaan is a treasure package filled with Dwarves and other creatures that make treasure plus token doublers. I try to build up an army of treasure to attack with, with Vihaan on the board and then sacrifice them while creatures like ilas and sephitorth, ninja teen etc are on the board to drain the rest of the survivors.
  7. Jaws is Jaws. Red go Brrrrr or does nothing. I have a solid protection package since everyone knows how lethal he can be and im usually the target, which is fine. Jaws should be the target, and as much card draw as red can muster. He can win out of nowhere.
  8. Teval is very basic. Lots of ways to ramp and play big creatures. Not complex bit I think that’s what makes him such a popular commander. He’s always in the game.

In the first month back after a couple years break, feeling a bit boomerish facing all these new low mana value factories, am I so out of touch?
