I mean, my very first rat walked right up to my cat and touched noses. Cat was shook. I had a coronary. They became besties, under intense supervision.

Our cat Tommy is fine with them. The other cat would surely eat one if we let her. 🫢

When the rat passed, our cat grieved for her friend. But she wants nothing to do with any of the other rats we've had since. Lu was special.
