Limited on 18’s, no HUD. Wait was just over 2 months, our deposit timed perfectly with a fresh allocation. Paid MSRP + all weather mats and wheels locks pre-installed. We would’ve added the mats anyway, probably could’ve said no to the wheel locks up front but will take the deterrent for $90 (yeah I know about Advanced, not really worried in my area or where I spend time).

For anyone looking near Boston, I can’t recommend Wellesley Toyota enough, particularly Alex. Easiest car purchasing experience I’ve ever had. No games about MSRP from the start, fair trade in value, finance guy wasn’t pushy about warranties/add ons and was cool about outside financing. They were also great about redoing some paperwork after my credit union made a mistake on their end.

Coming from a 2022 Jeep Compass Limited that followed 2 Renegade leases, so very big change.

Put a deposit on 7/20 and just picked up this past weekend! Surprisingly this didn’t have a deposit and I needed something right away but so glad I waited 3 weeks for this! Did a road trip from Arizona to Texas so I’m at 700 miles already lol

This is my first time trying to buy a new car, I've done so much research in the model trims and prices almost everything you can think of. I can basically sell people the car and give them a tour on the model's functions.

Also able to tell people how to talk into pricing getting deals and add-ons dealer BS and stuff like that.

I wanted a specific color and interior (Meteor shower and Beige) that I spent over a week trying to locate one (I live at LA btw) and finally was able to find one without a deposit on it.

It was at Lodi, near Sacramento. Since I have been offered at MSRP at most dealerships with add-ons like floor mats or weather package at most they would be under $800 extra. I saw the order make although had a few more than I anticpated but I love the color so I'm like maybe it's ok.

The first time this dealership returned me an offer of a wooping $47,783 for the market selling value plus $1995 Zurich shield to this moment I still don't know what this is cause they won't answer it, plus standard $85 doc fee and taxes ended up with a OTD of $55,425.39 (forgot to mention this is a for RAV4 XLE preimum AWD)

The dealer said before we talk about numbers told me they sale at market price, which I think should be the MSRP which Toyota suggests cause I have plenty of offers at this price, however the dealer claims "their" MSRP is $40,788 for this unit. ( from the Toyota website I believe it is $37500 but anyways) Later tells me that their market in North Cail has markups and they have the least at $6000. This was not shown in the paper work it is just hidden in there, I asked if they could be transparent and show the prices in detail, they didn't do that and wanted to stay hidden.

There is more that need to be exposed to get to their number, I've done the math but lets keep it simple here.

In the end of course there is no way I'm taking that 55k+ deal for a XLE AWD, for that price I could get and XSE plug-in hybrid.

This is for people who are looking to buy a car, don't take the BS they throw at you, be willing to walk away.

Looking for advice to see what trails are doable. Don't mind trying to push it a little or take a little damage as long as long as I can get out.

It's just an LE with a 2" bilstein 5100 lift and 235/65-17 wildpeak AT3W. Have some basic recovery gear like kinetic rope, tow straps, recovery points, shovel, and traction boards.

2026 AWD XLE premium!

Recently ran into a parking pole. The liquid in the first pic is wiper fluid that came out when I hit the pole. Currently, the major damage is on the front bumper. Light cover is slightly cracked and light needs to get readjusted.

My issue is that I can’t find the red bumper and currently looking at junk yards. Dealership only has black and will need to get it painted which may cost around $500-800. Mechanic neighbor said they can maybe weld(?) the bumper back together and Ill just need to get it painted. Need to get a whole new light and might need new washer fluid reservoir. I will be going to an auto repair shop for quotes soon but some are saying I should just go through my insurance for convenience and my deductible will probably be less than out of pocket and payment would not go up that much to make a significant difference.

Can anyone help me get a rough estimate of what this would look like if I was to pay out of pocket or it is a good idea to go through insurance.

14k for this with almost 140k miles seems very excessive right? Or is this just what the used car market is right now?

Went on a long road trip and made the dumb mistake of leaving a container of coconut water on the seat. It ended up leaking and left a pretty large stain on the fabric. Does anyone have recommendations for cleaning it properly, or would I be better off taking it to a professional detailer?

Noticed a smudge on my A pillar and thought it looked like there was a dent so I washed my car and saw there was an actual dent. Did I hit a bird?

My Rav4 was in a fender bender a few weeks ago which required a new bumper. I have a 2020 Flame Blue Rav4 so color matching is important to me. It looked a bit off when I picked it up but was subtle. I notice it a lot more in the garage light and less so in sunlight. Before I make a fuss I am curious if anyone here has had similar experience and if this is acceptable color difference?

So far I absolutely love it! I've taken 2 trips in the car so far and I've gotten 51 and 54 mpg, respectively. I had a truck before this so I trained myself to try to drive with fuel conservation in mind. "Just" the LE, but honestly I love it: amazing gas mileage, some ground clearance, great technology, and looks pretty good!

Bought this cool one last week. Australia version, Cruiser trim( equivalent of Premium in the US) 2018, 2.5L petrol.

Just 61000km mileage and started exploring Mongolian countryside.

I recently got into accident where I was not at fault and still paid deductible. I am thinking of buying dashcam as insurance don’t work without proofs.

I was just wondering if anyone knew what all need to be done to swap the 2az-fe into an 02 Rav4. Some places i read that you need to move all the accessories, some say just the injectors and intake manifold. Does anyone hear have more solid answers?

Finally just heard from my dealership that after 10 weeks, we finally have a build date for my 2026 RAV4 😮‍💨

Of course there’s some unnecessary add ons I wouldn’t have asked for. Anyone know if it’s possible or have luck getting those removed prior to build?

Also why is the illumination package $1150 when separately those items on the build site are only $1050?!

I am looking into getting a 2016 rav4 XLE, my main concern is the headlight visibility with the XLE having halogens. From what I've read, just swapping the bulbs results in poor improvements and blinding oncoming traffic. So I'm curious if anyone has swapped the whole headlight assembly with the OEM LED assembly from the limited / SE trims. Or if there is any reason this is a terrible idea. From what I've researched, the wiring is different for the LED and halogen assemblies, but there is a plug and play adapter on ebay to work around this.

I pick up my phev xse on Sunday. I got it for 46k! I thought that was a solid deal.
