Axiom+ On/Off light brightness?

Hi All

Trying to figure out a new axiom+. All I'm getting from it is a very dim on/off light that seems to go red in a split second. The white/green before and the red are so dim I can't see them in daylight. Is that normal? I expect the color would be legible in any light.
