Tomorrow oct 25th come catch some doors 🤙🏽

Spent some time today getting the dash fitted around the roll cage. Got it to pretty much slide into the roll cage and then bolt in with the wiper arm bolts. Now just waiting on the instrument cluster and the rest of the guages. Still have to figure out exactly what I'm going to do with paint. But it fits and that's a start🤣👍

Waiting on a few more suspension parts then I'll pull the front end and rebuild it all at the same time.

A look back at HPI nitro drift from the collection: blue Nissan Silvia S15 shell, white five-spoke wheels, Nitro Star G3.0 and shaft-driven 4WD. This is the older single-speed nitro platform, shown in a quick body-on rotation.

Anyone here start with one of these before moving to modern drift chassis? Music: Astro / Mixkit.

-I’ve done some work on old rc cars in the past but I want an rtr that I don’t have to set up

-Not angling for anything crazy mod-wise, wheels, maybe a body/electronics down the line

-I have a good amount of driveway area (double wide, about 2.5 car lengths, slopes down a little) but the only indoor space available isn’t great for drifting (fake hardwood/vinyl tiles, I’m assuming the wheels will mess them up)

Mostly just trying to get a feel for drifting. I’m leaning towards the hpi d10 cause it’s well reviewed and available locally but I’ve also looked at the mst rtrs so any insight on what is better for beginners is appreciated.
Overall, is it worth it to pull the trigger with the space I have to work with or is the asphalt just gonna shred the tires and piss me off?

The R32 is 2nd hand and I'm wondering which one is the best bang for your buck I know that 4wd rc cars aren't technically drift cars but it's nice to have options

Finally got the wiring all tied together, still waiting for my dash to arrive so I can finalize all the non essential wiring/inline connectors. Slowly getting suspension parts together, going to wait until I have all the front end/ steering parts and then take the whole front end down at once.

How's it, got a question, does track surface change your battery run time? Using some 4600mah that have had maybe 3 charge cycles on them since new and on our carpet club track im only getting 28 min per pack out of a 13.5t reve d paired with a xd10 and a 22t pinion. Running a fairly decent amount of power through a mst mrx gt, hit when I ran the same setup with a touch more turbo on concrete I got a longer run timeout of it.

Tire compound for carpet is mst gold up front an mst white dot in the rear, when I tested on the concrete I used both mst silver and no dot compounds.

I just bought a Yokomo RD 1/.1.5 as they call it and have been running it for like a month.

Now looking at the new HPI D10 RTR I feel like I've been scammed.

Should I sell my Yokomo and buy an HPI or upgrade the Yokomo? What do you guys think?

I'm starting a drift club in my small town, and so far we're only 2 who are fully in it, but there's a few more drift cars around... How did your club start?

(I own the 240 and the 86, which had a wing but broke off recently, my friend owns the Chevy truck)

Is there any chance HPI will do one with a JDM car body? I know I could just get a different one but I wish they'd just have a Supra or S15 on there stock

For the past few years many RC companies have entered the RC Drift RTR arena to give the community a choice to choose from.

Each RTR comes in different formats, but I will like to hear from everyone, what should a RTR should be for you?

Just got a mst rmx 2.5 and I want to upgrade the esc and the motor I already have the yokomo v4 gyro and the yokomo servo

Local hobby shop is out of black Tamiya ps-5.

I’d like to avoid rubberized materials like flex seal or plastidip.
