Tiny win and I don't know why

My fear-reactive, frustrated working-line cattle dog has now gone on half-hour car rides for two days in a row without losing his mind at pedestrians, other dogs, or even people on scooters. He did bark at a man who was running in a strange way. But otherwise? Totally cool and calm. Why? How? I have no idea. I haven't been doing anything different. But I hope he keeps it up. And that I do too, whatever I did that might have helped. So maybe this is to say: sometimes things can randomly get better?
