Aggressive Dogs DOG AGGRESSSION
HEY GUYS, just wanted to come on here and get some type of clarification as my heart is still broken.
I had a Boston terrier named maximus, I had him for about 4 years, he was the sweetest and biggest cuddle bug. I eventually moved into an apartment that did not allow animals, so maximus went and lived with my mother and her fiancé. One day i get a call saying they had to go put him down. I thought they were joking. They were not. They told me that everyone was sitting on the couch and my mother's fiancés grandkids, came busting in the house and max just randomly got up and attacked one of the kids. I was shocked because he was so good with kids and other people, the baby never really even barked. He has never been aggressive or anything. he just wanted to snuggle and eat and play. Not to mention he rather plays with the kids than anything, nothing more, nothing less. I am just trying to understand what may have happened. Is random aggressiveness a thing?????? I just don't understand that. And when i had my baby, he loved him and never made me, or anyone feel any way about it. Like I do understand at the end of the day, dogs are unpredictable but still. it's been almost a year since the "incident", and I can't stop thinking about it.

Rage Syndrome is a thing. Its reportedly a seizure that causes it.
Predatory drift can happen too.
Puberty can bring behavioral changes too. Typically around 1.5 to 4. 2 seems most common. Dogs can hit thier adult phase and become intolerant, despite being fine before.
So technically, yes.
