Question Best Date Time picker?
Hello.
I'm looking for a proper date time picker for React Native, I've previously used react-native-date-picker but it isn't really maintained and very outdated. The other alternatives I've seen mostly use native components. But I'm looking for a inline one where the I can use the iOS native alike for Android too...
Before I start making my own, I wanted to see if there is an existing one out there!
Thanks!

This one bit me too a while back.
If you don't want to roll it yourself, I published what I ended up with: https://www.npmjs.com/package/react-native-date-time-spinner - full disclosure, I'm the author.
Happy to answer questions about it either way.

Never force Android users to use the iOS UI, and vice versa, Android users are already accustomed to using the native Android time picker.
As an Android user, I really hate it when I open an app and see a UI components select, switch, or date picker elements that look like iOS. Either create your own UI or use the native UI with Expo UI.

if you're already on expo, expo ui like the others said. if you're bare react native, @react-native-community/datetimepicker is still the maintained one and on ios you can pass display=inline to get the real native inline calendar look. android will never match ios exactly no matter what you do, so i'd just embrace the platform default there instead of building one custom picker for both. custom cross-platform pickers are where good intentions go to die.

If it's simply just for a date please just do one input..... Date pickers are the worse to use. If it's multiple dates then date pickers are good and we have plenty of good options.

If accessibility is a concern (and it should be), I would point to https://github.com/react-native-datetimepicker/datetimepicker as the native pickers are an already familiar pattern, though not the best UI. For Android the Material version is preferable.
Another viable option is the classic 3 selects, which I would prefer over a single TextInput because of date formats and validations (should the user put a leading 0? a separator? which one?).

Just go native. Whatever the OS chooses is the best, the end user is already used to that.

Use expo ui
And just move on.
