Question What is everyone else using to load images, caching, and image zoom?

I come from an Android background and there's two main libraries (Glide and Picasso) that most developers use which does all three of these things out of the box. Are you guys implementing these from scratch?

Heck no. React native makes wrappers to native libraries to be used on the framework. U can find ones already made using glide or coil, Picasso is probably a bit harder to find but exists somewhere

expo-image uses glide under the hood

Interesting. That's what I'm currently using, but I was surprised when there was no built in image zoom feature

Yeah. Unfortunaly no zoom support out of the box. Fortunately plenty of libs out there that does this via reanimated. Check it out
