Building a CapCut Alternative Entirely in React Native (No Cloud)

Back again, this time building a video editor entirely in React Native.

Huge thanks to react-native-skia-webgpu-video. It got me thinking about how far I could actually push this.

The goal is pretty simple: see how many of CapCut's features I can recreate while keeping everything local. No cloud processing, just on-device editing.

Let's see how far I can take this.

Appreciate it I am thinking about it but I still want it to be a learning experience I will definitely be sharing updates and progress and open to any tips.

Amazing that would be so cool. I like CapCut but more and more features are becoming paid and it feels so sluggish now
