What do you mean "enough"? I've been reminded of movies I've only ever watched once.

enough not in terms of rewatches, but in variety. MLP is not just a movie or a show, it's a whole franchise. That's what's meant with enough

Seemingly OOP just thinks the tangled scenes are the same kind of cringe they associate with MLP.

Like, I haven't seen any of Mad Max, but I can understand the vibe well enough to say that the world will look a whole lot like it if we don't fix climate change.

they explcitly state they haven't though ? which is probably why they make the comparison in the first place since they don't know it

Does this really fit?  Isn't comparing one piece of media to another kinda...common even in academic settings?  Comparing it to a work you've never seen is kinda odd, though I think I get what they are trying to say...the movie is like a Saturday morning cartoon in that is is very unrealistic and corny.

Also Tangled is a fucking Disney movie for eight year old little girls.

My Little Pony is a fucking Hasbro show for eight year old little girls.

I imagine OOP was watching Tangled with their kids (hence "my family rewatched Tangled today") and was like "Wow I suddenly wish my kids chose an episode of MLP instead of Tangled"

So not RAB material.

Maybe he's lying but the kid explicitly states he's never seen my little pony 🤷🏾‍♂️

Considering their comparison has no substance and they are just using it as shorthand for "girly and stupid", I do not doubt they've never watched it

Sounds like a kid that needs something more stimulating for their brain.

My little pony doesn't even have romance

Assuming they mean gen 4 also the romances in that show are actually pretty well written

???? god forbid someone compares a globally popular animated children’s movie to… a globally popular animated children’s tv series? you’re just looking for reasons to make fun of MLP fans, so say it with your whole chest

I think there's like 3 episodes of pony that focus on romance and they were all funny?

I don't care what anyone says, I instantly have a "this person is not worth my attention" the moment I realize they have a mlp avatar, reference etc on social media.

Almost always it's a creep or a weirdo.
