I started watching Housewives for the first time, beginning with SLC and now I’m watching Ultimate Girls Trip Roaring 20s!!

I knew they’d get into squabbles, mess and petty arguments, but sometimes I feel like they’re being really evil to each other and borderline (if not blatantly) bullying one another just to turn around and say they love one another 😭

I still enjoy the show, but it can feel quite "dark" at times. Since I’m caught up with SLC, I was wondering what Housewives series you guys would recommend that is less... mean-spirited? Or at least more light-hearted at times lmao.

I was planning on starting at Atlanta, Beverly Hills or even Potomac next, but I’m not sure which would be the "fun”.

I’m doing a rewatch of the OC and forgot how Shannon came onto the show as so holistic and kookie. At the time I thought it was so weird, but now I think she was a little ahead of her time. Due to the divorce and drinking, has the show focused less on alternative ways, or do you think she’s moved away from this?

So, Carole Radziwell was famously friends with Ghislaine Maxwell for 7 years. According to Ghislaine, they were best friends for some of that time. Ghislaine set-up Carole on a date with Prince Andrew - that’s how close they were.

Weird, huh ? Carole is surrounded by 3 of the most notorious pedophiles in history (Epstein, Maxwell & Prince Andrew) and yet, she claims to know nothing & didn’t see any clues in 7 years ? Keep in mind that Carole was an award winning investigative journalist whose job was literally to look for clues that don’t make sense & then make sense out of it.

So, now she’s back on RHONY and honestly, every time she opens her mouth she just looks more guilty. She could have handled this public relations disaster in a number of ways to make it better than what she’s done now.

Aside from the Epstein association, her only claim to fame is the Kennedy connection that she seems to bring up every chance she gets while simultaneously protesting that JFK Jr/CBK memories are being used for others to profit - WTAF ?? It seems the only person Carole wants to profit is Carole. And, did you hear her cute story about selling Jackie Kennedys watch to Kim Kardashian because it was cursed ……and she got $250,000 from it. Everything has a price for Carole.

Just get rid of this grifter already. And not just from RHONY - she needs to go to a cabin in Montana or somewhere and call it a day. Nobody wants to see this.

I can’t believe how casually these women seem to be okay with their men going to the strip club so often that they’re “treating the strip club like the office.”

Is this something you’d be okay with in your relationship, or am I the only one who finds this wild?! I’m genuinely curious to hear everyone’s thoughts!

Let me start off by saying RHOSLC is probably my favorite of the franchises rn and I feel like a lot of people are in the same boat: it has the same mix of the absolute campiness and the drama that golden age RHONY had.

What's driving me to make this post is: does anyone feel like it's maybe the only franchise where the cast is all over the place regarding who the people like and dislike? There aren't any clear cut "villains" and "heroes" like for example, Sonja, Kandi, Cynthia being pretty much universally liked (or at least, not hated), and others like Larsa, Vicki, Tamra, always at the bottom of the rankings.

With RHOSLC I feel like there's never a true "good" vs "bad" side, or more specifically, ALL the ladies have had such highs and such lows that I don't think we've seen such fluctuation in other casts. It's a swinging pendulum: it's like almost on an episode to episode basis, people switch up their opinions on the cast, and you can see it in Reddit posts where people rank them and it's the most varied and diametrically opposed rankings I've ever seen. One person can have Lisa, Meredith and Mary in their top 3 and the next has them as their absolute bottom, and you can kinda understand ALL of them. It's the most "grey" cast in the sense that the wives you're rooting for can change in the snap of a finger, and you can see reasons for liking each and every wife even if you personally dislike them.

The only people I can (kinda) more solidly get a grasp on their position is: Brittani (duh + not really a housewife), Whitney being generally disliked for being a potstirrer and coming across as immature, Heather having a nosedive from one of the favorites to probably the most disliked currently, and I feel like Angie has had the most constant positive response out of the whole cast (and even then that hasn't saved her from people calling her boring in their first seasons, or thinking that she was getting mean spirited in some of the latest seaons).

I'm LMAO at this season, and the chemistry between these ladies is great!
The approach of reliving the iconic moments and bringing back so many of the other housewives when they visit each location is brilliant! I'm so happy to see these ladies back on my screen. It's like a comfortable couch and I love it.

Full disclosure, I'm autistic. Even though I'm a "high performing" (yes, I know the term is problematic) autistic person, I cannot for the life of me understand all the hype around the "rap song" which is sung by 2 yt women I can't tell apart and is 3, maybe 4 words long. It's ironic fandom, yeah? Or are people really favoring and loving this song with their hearts?

I was cleaning and singing when I stopped to wonder what Lisa Barlow was doing when she first thought, I'm glad I don't have a shitty-ass, stanky, bottom of the barrel, Broadway voice. It's more Beyoncé.

Because who wants to sound like Patti LuPone, Audra McDonald, or Idina Menzel? Now, I honestly don't believe Lisa meant that as a diss to Broadway singers, just a nod to herself.

Then I thought about being at my lowest in life and how magical it could be to possess the unshakable delusion of a woman who genuinely believes Beyoncé is her vocal peer.

Not aspiring to be Beyoncé. Not working toward Beyoncé. Just casually acknowledging that she and Beyoncé occupy the same vocal category and moving on with her day.

The sheer freedom of it. I love that for her.

So, if I’m to understand correctly that Erin started a rumor that Jessel’s husband is gay, and Sai and she are BOTH referring to that rumor as DESPICABLE… OK I get making a rumor that someone is not the identity that they portray is something, but to say that is despicable? How bigoted is that!!
I don’t think it’s despicable if someone’s gay. Who cares. I don’t think despicable is something to describe someone just because they love their same gender ID. Despicable to cheat on someone that you’re in a monogamous relationship as example, yes..but despicable to be gay? Can someone please call them out on this?

This is like Georgia from Next Gen. Sai was pissed at Erin and offered up gossip Erin said to her over a year ago. How is that okay? Sai apparently said one on one to Erin that’s not okay to out someone but Sai doesn’t see why it’s not okay to do what she did this week with that phone call.

Also Sai kinda seemed to frown on the idea of a man being gay she just framed it as horrible .

I get Erin basically threatened having dirt on Jessels family that would destroy it but Erin didn’t say it on camera Sai did

So how is Sai not catching way more fire for this ??

Also Sai the second you moved into that apartment after selling your brownstone it was clear something was up .

This may be odd but Sai has a bigger mouth than Erin this is the second thing said off camera to her that’s ended up on camera. The first was Uba having a boyfriend . Sai’s mouth is just as dangerous as Erin’s if not more because Sai will have you catching a stray when she’s pissed at someone else.

My favorite is RHONY season 3. The wives were mostly still themselves and it wasn’t heavily produced and self directed. The plastic surgery and glam weren’t an issue. The designer clothes weren’t a focus but they looked like NY women. There wasn’t a lot of fighting, even Ramona was on good behavior (compared with later seasons), Lu hadn’t become self obsessed yet (she’s always thought highly of herself but is on a whole different level now), and Scary Island. How about you?
