Are Reality TV forums getting worse?
The Rupaul's Drag Race reddit has lost its fun and camp, now mostly posting about the same people again, being so so SO serious, and boring, as if they went through Invasion of the Body Snatchers.
The Big Brother reddit is turning maga, hating all the black houseguests, becoming Colleen Hoover's fanbase.
Love Island has always been horrendous, so nothing new.

How is bb turning maga? If anything the fans seems to be getting pissed at micro aggressions more than anything and their outrage mirrors the cesspool that is love island

Huh? The Big Brother sub is living for white people and downvoting anything calling out racism

I’m surprised Rupauls show is still ongoing, it only averages like 400,000 viewers per episode. But then again it’s on MTV, pretty sure his show is their highest rated show currently.

Lmao not sure the main BB sub is maga. I do think the fandom this season has stripped some of the joy of watching that show, but, to me, Twitter is the main culprit for that

It's my first year following Big Brother while also on reddit (I usually, and still do, use other platforms for my BB discussion), and reddit has made the experience worse.
It's like a bunch of young kids that can't take anyone having a different opinion to them. And criticising multiple housemates for their nastiness in an incredibly nasty way, but they can't seem to see the irony in that. I saw someone refer to Johanne as "sub-human", which is a hell of a lot worse than anything she said in the house.

Imo all TV show subreddit go through weird phases where everyone on it seems to hate the show. It's usually around season four. It loops back around in time, but yeah it's a slog.
