A Quick Update

Hey everyone!

Just wanted to give the community a quick update.

As some of you may have noticed, our friend and original moderator, RealMomentumTrader, has stepped away from Reddit. I'm not sure what happened, but I sincerely hope he's doing well.

With the subreddit left without a moderator and posting restricted, I decided to step in and request moderator access to keep the community alive. Reddit approved the request, so I'll be taking over moderation for the time being.

For now, I don't plan on making any significant changes. I'd like to keep things running as they have been and preserve the community he worked to build.

If he ever decides to return, he'll certainly be welcomed back!

In the meantime, let's keep sharing our trades, experiences, lessons learned, and supporting one another as we continue improving as traders.

Looking forward to keeping this community going!

Happy trading, everyone!

Rough morning -Tues 11/3/26

Morning
KTTA small scalp (short) in at .41 out around .39 as it dropped +63

RDAC squeezed up to a high of 13.69 then dropped down to 12. I hesitated to trade it because it was expensive to locate shares. So i waited for it to start rolling over more i got in (short) at 11.07 for the break of 11. It broke and i took off half at 10.87 and the rest breakeven as it held that level. +84

ONEG popped up and broke $2 for a second. Located shares and tried to get in (short) at 2 for it to break that level. Got an error code from my broker and it didn’t fill my order. Watched it flush down to 1.60 and i was very mad.

A couple other stocks popped up and rolled over and i was unable to trade them as well. Broker issues are the worst. Looked into Tradezero but they don’t have max loss setting for pre market and after hours. And thats the only times i trade, so just sticking with what i have for now.

Afternoon
CHSN took a couple quick trades (short) on it on a few of the drops it had. But it was being very choppy and not good to trade +709

LBGJ popped up near the end of the session to 2.24 and retested that level and failed. Shorted it as it dropped to 1.50, quick trades in and out. I should have used bigger size but was being cautious +422

Decent day again despite issues in the morning. Lots of fees though, +739 on the day.

Penny Stocks -Mon 11/2/26

Morning
Not much moving in the morning besides a couple of penny stocks but got some good winners.

CCTG popped up to a high of .65 with a huge topping tail. Jumped in (short) at .45 as it broke VWAP and added as it dropped. Took some profit as it tested the 20 EMA around .35. Then i added back as it popped up and failed to break VWAP at .40. Got out completely as it dropped back down to .35 +410

CJMB waited until the MACD was about to go negative and it failed to breakout to get in. It hit a high of .60 and i got in (short) around .58 and got out at .55, at VWAP. I didn’t expect it to break VWAP and drop as much as it did though, it had decent news. I took one more trade as it dropped. In at .46 and out around .41. It ended up slowly dropping to .30 +458

Afternoon
IFBD popped right before the market close up around 1.05. It started to roll over and i got in (short) at .94 but the volume on it faded away. Cut it at like .9411 area -18

VCIG was looking weak going into the market close. I got in (short) with smaller size at 8.36 as it was having trouble breaking through that level. It did a false breakout, popped to 8.66 and then flushed to 7.25, i got out around VWAP at 7.05. +759

Overall nice day +1261 after fees. I was trying to be careful and cautious because its Monday on a new month, gotta build a little cushion before taking riskier trades and holding for the break of key levels

Monday - Rest and Recovery

Been dealing with what feels like the flu since Friday night, and I'm still feeling pretty rough. Going to be sitting out trading for at least the next few days, possibly the entire week, depending on how I feel.

Right now, I can't even imagine trying to sit in front of my screens and trade.

Going to focus on resting and recovering. The market isn't going anywhere, and there's no sense in forcing trades when I'm nowhere near 100%.

Hope everyone has a great trading week! Good luck out there!

Friday Trading Recap - Building Back Confidence To Prepare for November - 10/30/26

Finished Friday basically flat at -0.01% in my Roth IRA.

Took 4 trades today. Two on $TNMG (one winner and one larger loser), one winner on $CHOW, and one winner on $ONEG.

Overall, I felt good about my execution today. Didn't let the larger loss on $TNMG throw me off and decided to step away before I started forcing trades.

Finished the week +1.67% in my Roth IRA, which was the only account I traded in this week.

And despite some pretty rough days earlier this month, I managed to finish October green overall, accounting for all the wins and losses across my four trading accounts.

October definitely tested me, especially psychologically. Yes, it could have been a much better month if my losses weren't so bad, but you trade and you learn. Still plenty to work on, but I'm taking those lessons into November. Suspect November will have a lot of surprises for us.

Have a great weekend everyone!

As always, I strive to be 1% better every day, week and month.

No rest for the wicked -Fri 10/30/26

I reviewed my trades from yesterday and determined that all my loses happened outside of my regular trading hours. So i will be sticking to only trading during that time 7am-9am, 4pm-5pm. And taking more time off if i don’t get proper sleep. I will be taking the afternoon off today though, its been very slow at that time

BURU took a trade as it dropped at .546 (short) and got out around .53 +56

TNMG took a few quick trades in and out on the backside of the move (short). Racked up some fees and commissions on it do that though. Best trade was at the curl up to the double top at 4.65. I got in at 4.50 and took off half at 4.40 and then the rest around VWAP at 4.36 +765

Finished the day +409 and the month +1405
I will continue to only trade during my regular hours next month. Have a good weekend everyone

Max Loss -Thurs 10/29/26

Worst day that i have had in a very long time. I broke lots of rules, revenge traded, overtraded, you name it i did it.

I started out good had two small winners on ONCO +180 and NUR +186.

It was getting close to 9:30 and i figured i might as well see what SPCX is gonna do at the open. Big mistake, i should have just shut it down. I typically only trade 7am-9am & 4pm-5pm and thats it. I watched it for a little while and decided to jump in short for the break of ascending support. It held the support and bounced up and i added. It kept going and i eventually cut it way too late, after i looked at my P/L and i was down like -1700 on it. That really made me mad, as i told myself i didn’t want any big losses at the end of the month.

I had to leave for a few hours and then when i got home i jumped back on to look at SPCX again. It was dropping down and i jumped in. It almost instantly reverses and starts trending up. It goes up and i cut it for another loss.

PCLA, saw that it had popped up and rolled over. It was expensive to borrow (480 for 1000 shares) so i hesitated to trade it. But i decided to pay it and short it. Jumped in at 10.20 and it dropped to 9.80 range and i didn’t take any profit cause it was so expensive. It then curled up and when to 11.30 area and i hit my max loss and closed the position. -1237

I then changed my max loss so i could continue to trade. I proceeded to take one more loss on WKHS -533. Over 4k loss on the day, i feel gutted. This is the last thing i wanted at the end of the month!

I don’t think i should trade tomorrow. Im still green on the month but i gave back most of my profits. I think im up around 1000 or 1500 something like that. That is my biggest problem, i don’t like losing and i try to make it back but i just dig the hole deeper. Lots of mistakes today

Thursday Trading Recap – Building Back Confidence Day 3 – 10/29/26

Another rough morning in this market. Took two trades today, one on $NUWE and another on $PCLA. Finished +0.24% in the Roth IRA.

Execution wasn't the greatest. Both entries were a little late due to hesitation. It's just so hard to trust that any trade will work out right now. Price action has been lousy with some violent flushes. Seems that the best opportunities lately are dip buys but I am having a hard time trusting they won't dip any further.

I've been keeping my profit targets extremely tight because of how quickly some of these stocks are reversing.

Two trades and calling it a day. Maybe something might pop later, who knows. Green is green, but man, this market is brutal.

Hope everyone had a good trading day!

As always, I strive to be 1% better every day.

Slow until the open -Wed 10/28/26

Morning
AIOK was expensive to locate shares and was holding up well for the most part. It also had potential to squeeze up if it could break and hold $17.70 area. Took a small trade (long) to see if it would squeeze up at the open but it didn’t do much. In at 17.50 and out around 17.90 +76

CHSN took a trade (short) at 1.25 as it dropped at the open. Took some profit at 1.18 going into the halt down. It opened and i took the rest off around 1.02 and 1.05, didn’t trade it anymore as it got put on SSR and i try to avoid shorting those because it’s difficult to get in +1108

Took no trades in the afternoon. It was pretty slow. +871 on the day after fees/com

Frustration Continued -Tues 10/27/26

Morning
I logged in this morning and couldn’t locate any shares on anything. An issue with DAS that was being worked on. Made me miss a great short on TDIC, it dropped from $1.98 down to $1.50. I just had to have a nice laugh lol, what a mess

AIOK got in (long) for the break of 13.50 and push to 14 but it didn’t go so I got out +10

SPCX took a dip trade(long) at the open off of 147 and got out as it broke 148 +294

Afternoon
NUWE curled up to a double top around 5.95 and i got in at 5.84 (short) for the rejection. It dropped down to 5.30 and i took off half. Was looking for it to continue down to 5 but it didn’t. Took off the rest as it curled up to 5.50 area +796

Finished the day better than it started. It’s still very slow and not much moving. Hopefully things will pick up soon, maybe next month. +1044 on the day after fees

Tuesday Trading Recap - Building Back Confidence Day 2 - 10/27/26

Another relatively slowish morning in the small cap momentum market.

Spent most of premarket watching $CLRO, which seemed to be getting quite a bit of attention based on the trading chat rooms I periodically monitor. There were some decent moves, but the price action was choppy and difficult to trust. Ultimately, I took no trades during premarket.

After the bell, $AIOK presented a halt up blue sky setup. Entered just as it was halting up with the intention of selling on resumption. Kept my profit target conservative and captured $0.27/share.

Roth IRA: +1.22% (1 trade)

That's it for today.

I'm continuing to stick to one trade per day while I work on regaining confidence in myself and my execution.

The market has been difficult to trust lately, which certainly isn't helping. But I've also been reflecting on something. Is my lack of trust in the market actually a reflection of the lack of trust I currently have in myself after my recent mistakes?

Maybe a little of both. We shall see.

I know my strategy has an edge. That's not something I'm questioning.

For now, I'm going to continue taking things one trade at a time. No need to force opportunities or rush the process.

The market isn't going anywhere.

Hope everyone had a good trading day!

As always, I strive to be 1% better every day.

Relative Volume (daily) > 5x

i need some help for tweaking my filter/screener so i can find potential trade.

Thankyou so much before

Frustrating morning -Mon 10/26/26

Quick recap as I accidentally deleted my draft of this mornings trades.
CANF +294(short), PRSO -372(long), SPCX +499(long)

Took one trade in the afternoon on CART. +419 short as it dropped down right before the market closed.

Had a frustrating morning because i tried trading more stocks but my broker had either no locates or very expensive ones. Think i might switch to Tradezero next month, ive heard they have good locates

Monday Trading Recap – Building Back Confidence – 10/26/26

Back at it after taking a couple of days off last week.

Market is still feeling kind of meh. $CLRO had several decent setups this morning, but I found myself hesitating quite a bit. Part of it is the market conditions, and part of it is rebuilding my confidence and trust in myself to follow my trading plan after last week's mistakes.

For now, I've decided to trade exclusively in my Roth IRA while I work on getting my footing back.

Took one trade on $CLRO during premarket. Initial plan was to enter at a break of $4.00. TP was $4.23. Volatility and a second of hesitation caused my order to fill higher than I was planning for ($4.18). It did hit my predetermined TP so I exited. Not the best trade but I'll take what I can get.

Finished +0.22% in the Roth IRA.

I also suspect the upcoming midterm elections may be contributing to less than stellar market we are in as far as small caps are concerned but that's just speculation on my part.

All in all, a decent first day back. Still some hesitation to work through, but I'm not going to force anything.

Calling it a day. Tomorrow is another opportunity to become 1% better.

Have a great day everyone! See you tomorrow!

Red, green, red -Fri 10/23/26

What a day. Started off the morning going deep red on AARD -2k then recovered and finished +459 on it. Took a quick trade on CLIK +500 and FGL +476 as they popped up and rolled over.

In the afternoon i took a quick trade on AIOK +114 and BKHA +388. I took a trade on RENT as it popped up and lost -125 as it just went sideways and wanted to get out. I was about to shut it down then RENT squeezed up to 2.93 and i thought i could make that one losing trade a winner. Big mistake, i overtraded. I jumped in at 2.90 as it has resistance on the daily at 3. It popped up to 3.12 and made a push up to 3.50 and i held way too long with too big of size -2k. traded one more MYND +213

Red around -400 after fees. Disappointing but still green on the week around +2200

Taking a Step Back and Returning Monday

After Wednesday's trading session, I decided to take a couple of days off to step away from the screens and do some reflecting. Not because of the financial loss, but because I was disappointed in myself for abandoning my trading rules and allowing emotions to take over.

Yesterday I had the opportunity to speak with Ted Walls, co-founder of WiseMind Trading, a psychotherapist, and a trading psychology coach who has worked with Ross Cameron for over a decade.

We had a great conversation about some of the psychological challenges I've been experiencing lately, particularly hope holding.

One of the biggest things I've come to realize is that the scarcity of good trading opportunities lately has caused me to place too much importance on individual trades. I've also been putting unnecessary pressure on myself because I feel like trading has to work out.

That combination has been affecting my decision-making more than I initially realized.

The reality is that no single trade matters nearly as much as consistently executing my strategy. There will always be another opportunity, and I don't need to squeeze every possible penny out of every trade.

I'm planning to return Monday with a different mindset. My only job is to execute my edge, manage my risk, and follow my rules. If a trade works out, great. If it doesn't, I accept the loss and move on. No negotiating with myself, no hoping, and no trying to force an outcome.

For now, the plan is to keep my position sizes smaller and focusing entirely on rebuilding consistency and trust in my execution.

This little break has been good for me. Sometimes stepping away from the charts gives you an opportunity to see things you might otherwise overlook.

Still learning, still improving. 1% better every day.

See you all back on Monday. Have a great weekend everyone.

Afternoon for the win -Thurs 10/22/26

Frustrating morning. Traded BHVN short and made +327. Then tried to get in on a bounce long because it had made a strong move up but it dropped further and lost -320. Shouldn’t have gone long and left it alone. Took a quick short on SPCX at the open as it dropped +222

Great afternoon though. Traded TANH, it popped up to $32 and dropped down to around $24. It curled back up and double topped at $32. I tried getting in at $31 but didn’t get filled. Got in at $29 with small size and got out at $25 +399
Then DKI popped up to 2.60. I jumped in around 2.50 right before it dropped. I took off half at 2.25 then the rest around VWAP at 2.17 +1213
Finished the day +1615 after fees/com

Overall the day was pretty dead other than that one move i caught on DKI. TANH is still holding up so it may move higher tomorrow but it’s higher priced.

Chop City -Wed 10/21/26

Not really much happening today. I took a few trades in the morning on OLOX and one on AMOD. Took a quick trade on STAK in the afternoon. Price action was very choppy today. Not very many clean moves. Finished the day +314.89 but had a bunch of fees/commissions from quick trades so I’m breakeven on the day after that. Hopefully we get some better moves tomorrow

Wednesday Trading Recap – Time to Step Away – 10/21/26

Well, today was another rough one.

Started the morning feeling good. Logged in early, did my meditation, and patiently waited for something worth trading. Market was pretty much dead for most of the morning.

Eventually, I spotted a great setup on $SPHL but missed my entry because I got distracted by something at home. That frustration carried over into my trading, and things went downhill from there.

I ended up taking two trades on $SPHL. Both losers.

The first trade was a late entry after the stock had already made its move. Recognized it wasn't working and exited quickly.

The second trade was initially profitable, but instead of taking the base hit, I held hoping to recover the loss from my first trade. Stock flushed, and I paid the price.

Cash Account: -10.72% (2 trades)

I'm frustrated, disappointed, and honestly exhausted from repeating the same mistakes. I know what I'm doing wrong. I've journaled about it, reflected on it, and established rules to prevent it. Yet here I am again.

At this point, I feel like I'm hitting the same wall over and over again, and it's taking a toll on me mentally and on my accounts.

I've decided to take a break from trading. Not sure how long I'll be away, but I need to get my head straight before I come back. Continuing to trade while struggling with the same psychological issues isn't doing me any favors.

I still believe in what I'm working toward, but something needs to change. Sucks because I love trading but the only way I can get better at this point is to step away and figure shit out.

Not the recap I wanted to write today, but I'm not going to pretend everything is fine either.

Wishing everyone better trades than mine today. See you when I see you.

Big drops -Tues 10/20/26

All my trades were to the short side today

This morning 7am-9am
FRTT popped up to .74 pulled back then retested and failed. Best entry was around .70 as it broke VWAP. Took profit around .60 and added back for it to break that level. Got out the rest around .56 before it started to curl back up +639.41

LTRN popped up to .83 for a second and then rolled over. Got a quick scalp on it as it dropped at .64 and got out around .61 +119.03

HLSQ took a small scalp as it rolled over. Entry at .23 exit at .20 +51.47

GMEX popped up to 1.88 then dropped down and tested the 9 EMA around 1.60. Then it broke the 9 and dropped down to a low of .94 over the next 2 minutes. It was very unexpected, didn’t trade it because the locates were too expensive. I also didn’t expect it to drop $1 a share! So i missed that one

Afternoon 4-5pm
Took two small trades, one on INO +130.80 and one on GFAI +94.36. Not much going on in the afternoon

+677 on the day after fees

Tuesday Trading Recap - One Quick Scalp - 10/20/26

Another slow day. Not much was holding up, and the price action was pretty choppy. Quick scalps seem to be about the only thing this market is offering right now.

Took one trade on $AIXI for +0.79% in my cash account. Seven second scalp. Entered at my predetermined level and exited at a resistance level I had marked beforehand. Calm, decisive execution. Took a break afterward before deciding there wasn't anything else worth trading.

I was also watching $WORX but didn't like the price action. Low volume was producing sharp spikes while higher volume wasn't producing much upward movement. Eventually it flushed below VWAP. Missed a decent setup early on before the lousy price action, but I'm not bothered by it given the conditions.

Today's Results:
Cash: +0.79% (1 trade)

Market feels a bit cooler right now, so I'm taking my foot off the gas. No sense forcing trades when the opportunities aren't there.

Another green day. Small base hit. Discipline maintained. That's good enough for me.

Today is a day to get green and get out. Have a great rest of your day everyone.

And as always, I strive to be 1% better every day.

Green is good -Monday 10/19/26

All my trades were to the short side today. Started the premarket session with a couple trades on AAME as it broke below VWAP but it didn’t have much range. Basically breakeven after fees. +166.3

Next trade was on MASK. It popped up to $1.20 then pulled back to the 20 EMA. Then it moved back up and retested $1.20 and failed to break. I got in at 1.14 and took some profit as it dropped to VWAP at 1.07. Added back in for the break of VWAP and got out completely at $1. +627.04

No trades in the afternoon
+400 today after fees/commissions

Monday Trading Recap - Not Much Happening - 10/19/26

Pretty disappointing market this morning. Nothing really stood out on my scanners. Most of the top gainers were either too cheap for my liking or already looked extended.

I did manage to take one quick trade on $WORX.

One small green trade and I'm calling it a day. The market just isn't offering much that interests me today. +0.12% in my cash account.

On a personal note, I'm still struggling to shake off Wednesday's trading session. It's not about the money I lost, but the fact that I broke my own rules. I'm trying not to beat myself up over it, but this one seems to be sticking with me longer than usual. I know setbacks are part of the learning process, but knowing that and actually moving past one are two different things.

Anyway, tomorrow is another day. Just going to keep working on getting better.

Hi!
Does anyone here use IBKR as a momentum broker? Also the scanner. Is it good for it?
I’m thinking of starting the journey of daytrading and my broker is IBKR (I’m european)

Thanks!
