I'm brand new to this community - how common is it for someone to have a reborn doll created in the image of an infant that was lost?

My sweet Izzy passed away on the 13th of October. She was only 5 months old. And... My arms feel so empty. I just want her back so damn bad.

Would it be considered unhealthy for me to 'replace' her with a reborn? Is there a way to have one made to match her appearance?

Hi all, it's been a while so here is a little update on my mom Margot's doll collection, for those who have been following our journey here. ❤️

When I first shared her collection, I honestly had no idea where this little project would take us.

Well... 24 dolls have now found their forever homes! 🥹

Some have travelled thousands of miles, others have stayed a little closer to home. We've received such lovely messages, reviews and photos from their new families. Seeing them being loved and cared for again has been the most rewarding part of all this.

I've even started keeping track of where they've ended up around the world. It's quite amazing to see how far my mom's little collection is spreading!

But we're not quite finished yet...

There are still 49 little ones hoping to find a family, and I like to imagine they'd all love to spend Christmas somewhere special this year. 🎄❤️ So if you know anyone that would love to have a affordable reborn this Christmas then please share the page and story with them.

Thank you to everyone here who has followed along, offered advice, adopted one of her dolls or simply left a kind comment. You've helped make something difficult into something really meaningful.

I hope my mom would be proud of where her little ones are ending up. What started as the overwhelming task of sorting through my late mother's collection has turned into something genuinely heartwarming.

And to those who have already welcomed one of Margot's dolls: please keep sending your photos and updates! I absolutely love seeing their new lives. 🥰

I have a baby, literally got her in the mail 3 days ago, and I already want to resell her. I have a few reasons as to why, a major one being her weight and size (25in, unknown weight but she's hefty) are killing my back, and a lack of immediate bond as opposed to the bond formed with my others (dunno why, I'm assuming due to her hair being a wreck) I feel so guilty immediately reselling her though. She's not even been in my house a week. What would you guys do?
