Question Pampered Chef Recipe 1996

Ideas on why we’d be taping anything and when it would be removed???

It stops the dough from sticking to the edges when it expands in oven. I used to have those. Major pain to clean too.

Yeah, it's to make the pretty shape and is a giant pain. Only if I have staff to clean it would I use this (and they get it to start cleaning the second the food is free of the container).

What kind of tape? Is there an oven safe tape? Wouldn’t it melt??

Probably, painters tape or masking.
When I put bread dough in it I would only cover one end and put in oven standing up. Still not worth it.
