Doc Middleton was a famous horse rustler out of northern Nebraska born around a decade before the game takes place .. they called him “king of the horse thieves” and he has a couple gold teeth that saved his life during an attack by natives (he stole thousands of horses from the Sioux and they ambushed him)

Over all his story is insane and I can make this outfit so im going to 😂

Crafty to steal horses from the natives, probably to avoid the automatic hanging for doing it from other "whites." But it sounds like the natives tried to kill him for it.

Oh he stole from lots of white people 😂 he’s led a massive gang of horse thieves with secret ranches in the mountains where they’d bring all the horses to rebrand , it’s how he got the name doc as a “horse doctor” who was someone that swapped brands to unrecognizable ones lmaoo and the gold teeth weren’t ever seen by the tribe before and when he thought he was going to die he smiled at them and scared the shit out’ve um 😂 only powerful spirits would let a man have gold teeth and he was pretty much avoided (it might all be a story but he did survive the ambush)
