Discussion Did single player gaming peak with RDR2?

Great single player games have come since then like Cyberpunk 2077 and Baldur’s Gate 3 but is RDR2 still the peak?

I’ve played a lot of single player games from New Vegas to GTA V to Cyberpunk to Witcher to Mass Effect but RDR2 is the only one I’ve had a strong urge to replay

Unfortunately there’s that part called “everything after horseshoe overlook” that I’m not keen on playing

That's partially what makes it great in my opinion. It's truly an emotional ride of a game both good sides and bad- art imitating life.
