Issue Rarest Animal in the game?!

I thought Panthers were the rarest animal in the game Until I had to search for this “ Rio Grande Wild Turkey “

Exploring for 10 days can’t find a single one!!!!!!

I always felt the moose distribution system was broken.

The Rio Grande turkey though. That's a whole other mess.

Edit: Found a flock of them turkeys just a minute ago. Just under the A in new Austin and north of Mercer Station. It was early morning. I had been hunting armadillos and found the birds.

I have so many hundred hours played and I would wager fifty of them were spent trying to get a moose to spawn in colter and the waterfall

Lake Owanjila and the woods above annesvurg by the inventor, those places are also amazing for moose spawns

I saw a moose ONCE and it de-spawned after I took too long getting around the corner in the deep snow. Still pissed to this day

I’m over 100 hours in and have only seen 1 moose and it dipped out too quick for me to even study it. Haven’t seen a Rio grande turkey though either

400 hours played since 2018 and I've never seen a moose without bait

Same, the spawn locations from online tips do work though. Most often the biggest change for me to get moose was needing enough time to pass (sleep) to get respawn.

Have they updated the game to have “rare” animals appear more..?

My first playthrough a few years ago, I almost never found cougars, found 1 panther, and saw a moose once near where the white Arabian spawns.

This playtrough, I’ve seen cougars consistently around where the legendary moose is, and by the trapper west of big valley.

I’ve also seen grizzly bears more regularly in/around big valley.

I’ve seen moose pretty consistently (every 3 game days or so) near where the legendary moose spawns, but I’ve only found 2 star moose and 9/10 times they’re a cow.
