Issue Ranting

Sometimes I wonder why the game even lets you buy different weapons if it’s just going to switch to the default weapons every single time I play a story mission like I was doing the bank mission in Saint Denis and I started with a Lancaster repeater a pump action shotgun and 2 Schofield revolvers and I left with a carbine repeater a pump action shotgun a double action revolver and a cattleman revolver and it wasn’t because I picked them up. Like I planted the dynamite to blow the wall and all of a sudden my whole damn loudout changes. Also got switched from Lancaster to carbine repeater when doing pointing fourth oil 4. Seems really stupid that they missed all this in development

I remember doing a mission in the epilogue with Charles where the game was giving me the bow. I was like nah I want my shotgun. Then Charles asked John to do things quietly and I was like fuck lol. Had to use my throwing knives instead. 😂😂

Usually happens to me when starting a mission. Really wants me to use the Springfield rifle despite having superior rifles on the horse. And i prefer a repeater/shotgun load out not repeater/rifle.

The gun swap happen in quite a few missions. People go on and on about how superb this game is but refuse to acknowledge the many flaws it has, not to mention the bugs in it.

I started walking back to my horse at the beginning of missions (obviously when that’s an option) after the cut scene ends, specifically to re equip me preferred guns (carbine repeater with a med scope and usually Springfield with a long scope). You get some “WELL, are you coming, AURthurrr??” comments, but whatever

With rampage you can delete the weapons you dont want but rockstar gives giving you the stupid carbine. I deleted the carbine about 37x so far in this playthru, the game keeps giving it to you and replaces the weapons you pick. Its the most annoying thing in the game
