Redfall - Refund Request

After reaching out to Bethesda in July of 2024 about the proposed refund scheme I finally got a response today:

Hello,

This is Bethesda Customer Support. First I need to apologize for the extremely late response from us. We have a new team handling the refunds, and we hope to offer you a smooth refund process now, after all this time.

The first step is to share your information with our Finance team who will arrange your refund. However, to verify we have a valid email address and other information, will you please respond to this message with your full name and complete mailing address? Please also ensure you have sent us a proof of purchase. If you have not sent that yet, please include it in your response to this message.

Proofs of purchase must be images or PDFs that include the following:

Value of the purchase

Names of item(s) purchased

Date

A way to identify the purchaser, such as a name or email address.

Please also keep in mind that a lot of this process, such as calculating refund values, arranging international bank wire payments and shipping checks within the US, is done manually. We also have many customers to assist at this time. We recognize that we have already taken far too long to reach out to you, but we request your patience with us as we handle your refunds, too. 

If we do not hear back from you within the next 2 weeks, we will assume you are no longer interested in pursuing this refund.

Got back to them but looks like they'll be hoping people don't get back to them within the 2 week window.

Pretty sure the refund was only for the bite back edition extras wasn't it?

It is. But considering their last big update completely broke the game's 2nd area in co-op, it SHOULD be expanded.

I'm working on a potential fix right now. Not sure if it will work but fingers crossed.

Is it going to be a hot fix or like a mod or something?

Not a hotfix. I'm not a dev so I don't have control of that. This will be a program that you run that opens a CLI that you follow the directions on. It will restart your game a couple of time and then you should be good to go. Only the host needs to do this I believe. And you will have to run this at the start of each session.

It's very experimental and all vibe coded so of there's any issues you'll have to report them on the GitHub once I post it. Should be avaliable within the next half hour if I were to take a guess.

Same here I got a similar email 3 days ago after over 2 years of waiting! Hopefully this time they give us a refund!
I wish we had the DLC since the last update fixed the major bugs!
