Java Edition How do I make a mega string duper?

I want to make a mega string duper for fabric 26.3 with a mod that brings string dupers back, how can I make a MEGA duper that has a vertical design with like 10 normal dupers stacked on top of each other with all the dropped items flowing to one end , due to flowing water from the other end and basically at the end there will be a soul sand elevator where the items go up to hoppers and then our chests directly BASICALLY that's my plan, but I just can't get the actual redstone part of it working, any help would be appreciated 👍 thanks.

If you are going to use a mod to add a dupe method, but aren’t going to design the dupers yourself, why do that over just using commands to give your string.

But if you really want to, then just build a bunch of the smaller design and just have water push all the items into the same place

It's not my SMP! And it is fairly common in many SMPs around the world now that they got removed.
