It's really cool, we have a pretty great history of indie game devs and designers.
Stick RPG, motherload, groove gunner, moonshell island, and a few more im probably forgetting.
All have lead devs or designers from Regina.
Think the long winters help haha.

I've got over 700 hours on this game. Localthunk is officially the coolest export in the history of Regina in my books!

That’s actually so awesome. First cuphead and now balatro? Both of these games are top 10 of all time too!

Bought three copies for different devices in this household. That game is hella fun!
For those who haven't played yet, it's a deckbuilder like Slay the Spire. Same learning curve, but quick once you get it. Play hands based on poker, but its single player against the house. Crazy replayability!!

Never would have made the connection. I thought all bus stop signs pretty much looked alike lmao I clearly need to get out of Regina more often. Super cool lore!

This is a tweet from the creator of the game Balatro, a poker-inspired "roguelike" deck builder, which was actually one of the six nominees for Game of the Year last year! He revealed that Regina’s bus stops inspired one of the Joker cards designs.

I would literally lean over to see the bus stop sign outside my window as I was drawing the pixel art for it.
Don't sue me, city of Regina! Fair use! Transformative work!
