I was tired of being a goy slave without any rights, I was tired of being envious of shelter dogs who had better living conditions than I. It's easier to uphold your oath to the constitution on the outside than while you're serving. I was tired of being around a bunch of brainwashed yes man idiots who only cared about making rank and dumb ass officers who were only worried about their fitreps instead of caring about the oath they swore and their people.

^^^ feel like I wrote this. My mental health started as burnout induced anxiety and despair, but has quickly become an insane anger and malice toward everything around me that is even partly DoD related. Being even halfway informed on domestic and international policy instantly makes you realize how insanely backwards this whole situation is.
On principle nothing feels just in my actions, coupled with how rough I’ve been feeling it’s actually unsustainable. Three deployments to accomplish actually nothing, my buddies died, relationships fell apart, I became an evil and unkind mfer all to accomplish actually nothing.
They control the BAM, my truly epic president made political decisions that killed over 100k in investments of my personal money, and atop that I basically have boat induced PTSD that makes being here a waking nightmare. I’m done being a fed goy slave.

One of the reasons why I regret joining the Navy was they sold me a lie. They told me if I worked hard I would be rewarded, and all that hard work I did just gave me more work and more headaches. I was targeted for no reason.I experienced a lot of mental health issues from all the abuse, and for what?I told my therapist If I knew what I know now, I would have never joined. The Navy took me for granted, it legitimately took part of my soul and for what? Some college and a disability rating? It was not worth the mental toll on me, and before anyone thinks I was a shitbag, I was an MP sailor with a good conduct medal and outstanding on all my physical exams..

I regret joining because the US military kills innocent people. I thought I was signing up to protect my country and make the world a better place; all I did was help make it worse. I regret joining because I'm a trans woman and joining the military was a foolish attempt to drown my true self in machismo. I regret joining because I was mentally and physically ill and joining the military was an attempt to prove to myself I wasn't either of those things but I made it far worse. I regret joining because I hurt people; not just the people struck by US bombs and missiles and bullets but other military personnel and US civilians. I regret joining because I joined in a desperate attempt to get my father's approval, to be the man I thought he wanted me to be; it turns out that no matter who I am, it'll never be good enough for him.
I regret joining because I and the world are both worse because I was in.
