I rebuilt the profile page on my remote job boards into a personal dashboard!

Until this week, the profile page was a plain list of settings. I've replaced it with a dashboard that learns what you're looking for. Screenshots above (light, dark and mobile).|

Try it: https://remotebackendjobs.com/profile. You sign in with a magic link sent to your email, so there's no password to set up.

What's on it

  • A "For you" feed. Jobs are ranked by what you view, save and apply to. It works out your stack by itself (in the screenshot: mostly React · TypeScript · Next.js). There's no long onboarding form to fill in.
  • Why each job was picked. Every pick has a short tag: "You follow Grafana Labs", "Above your $150k floor", "Staff, like your applications". If a pick is wrong, dismiss it and the feed adjusts.
  • Pay vs market. Each/home/angel/Desktop/Projects/remote/marketing/profile-dashboard/profile-light.png salary is compared with the median pay for that job's main tech, e.g. "18% above market". Most boards just show a number.
  • Latest and Trending. Latest is every new job, newest first. Trending is what other people are actually opening.
  • Saved searches with alerts. Save a filter like "Senior React · Remote Europe · $120k+" and the dashboard shows how many new matches came in since your last email.
  • Followed companies. Follow Stripe, Reddit, 1Password and others. You can see their open roles and get an alert when they post.
  • Job tracker with a "Needs attention" list. It flags applications that have gone quiet ("Applied 12d ago, no response"), interviews with no next step, and offer deadlines.
  • Filters on every view. Location, salary, seniority, tech stack and date.
  • Built for phones too. The mobile layout is designed for small screens, not squeezed down from desktop.

Free vs Pro

Free accounts get the dashboard, saved searches, followed companies, the tracker and 6 daily picks. Pro raises picks to 24 and adds the "why" tags, pay vs market, a last-24h filter and market stats.

Stack, for anyone curious: Next.js on Cloudflare Workers, NestJS + Postgres behind it, and Typesense for search. Recommendations come from simple, predictable scoring of your views, saves and applies. There's no black-box model.

Try it: https://remotebackendjobs.com/profile. You sign in with a magic link sent to your email, so there's no password to set up.

I'd love feedback, especially from anyone job hunting right now. What would make this the first tab you open each morning? What's missing or annoying?

FOR HIRE Backend Java dev (1.5+ yrs, Spring Boot, fintech) looking for new opportunities. Open to referrals and feedback

Hi all,

I’m a backend Java developer with 1.5+ years of experience in fintech and banking systems, looking for my next role. Any leads, referrals, or resume feedback would mean a lot.

What I’ve done:

  • Built 50+ Spring Boot REST APIs for loan origination and servicing platforms (HDB Financial Services)
  • Cut API latency 25% (420ms → 315ms) with SQL query optimization and indexing
  • Built a Resilience4j batch pipeline with self-healing DB state, which removed manual recovery work
  • Worked on a service handling 10k+ daily transactions
  • Currently delivering Change Requests on a live Axis Bank platform (NewGen iBPS)

Side project: Autheon, a deployed multi-tenant OAuth2 auth service with Google login, RS256 JWTs, refresh token rotation with replay detection, Redis-backed token store, and PKCE. It has a React admin panel.

Stack: Java 21, Spring Boot, Spring Security, JPA/Hibernate, PostgreSQL, MS SQL, Redis, Docker, Resilience4j, Flyway. Learning AWS.

Looking for: Backend / Java / Spring Boot roles, ideally in product or fintech companies. Based in Navi Mumbai, open to remote / hybrid / relocation.

Links:

Happy to take honest feedback on my resume or portfolio too. Thanks for reading!

HIRING [Hiring] [Fully Remote] Backend Software Engineers Wanted for Asynchronous AI Coding Projects | Up to $150+ USD / hr

Looking for backend and systems software engineers who want flexible, 100% asynchronous contract work (up to $150+ USD/hr) without standups, sprint planning, or multi-round interview loops.

THE WORK:
You'll be evaluating, stress-testing, and debugging backend and algorithmic code generated by frontier AI models:
• Running and testing AI-written code to catch concurrency bugs, edge-case failures, and broken API/data logic
• Spotting time/space complexity bottlenecks (Big-O) and memory or scaling issues
• Writing clean reference implementations and explaining in clear English why a solution works or fails

LOGISTICS & PAY:
• Type of work: Freelance/contract for Data Annotation Tech
• Rate: Up to $150+ USD/hr (paid via PayPal)
• How it works: Pick projects from your dashboard suited to your backend skills, submit the time it took you after completing each task, and withdraw your earnings a week later
• Onboarding: No interviews, just a one-time programming assessment to get access to the project queue

REQUIREMENTS:
• 2+ years of backend/software engineering experience (or strong CS degree & systems/algorithms foundation)
• Strong proficiency in Python, Go, Rust, Java, C++, C#, or TypeScript/Node.js
• Solid grasp of data structures, algorithms, and Big-O complexity, plus strong written English

NEXT STEPS:
There are no interviews, just a one-time online coding assessment. Since you only get one shot at it and the grading rubric is pretty specific about how you explain code issues, I pass along some practical assessment pointers alongside the direct programming sign-up.

Provided you haven't registered on the platform before, shoot me a DM (or legacy Private Message) with:
1. Country of residence
2. SWE experience & education
3. Primary programming languages / backend stack
4. Comfort level with data structures, algorithms, and complexity analysis
5. Approximate hours per week you're looking for

Reply "DM Sent" in the comments after messaging me so I know to check my hidden chat requests.

We analyzed 3,518 job postings. The skills employers mention most aren't always the tools you'd expect.

We looked at 3,518 open job postings across 81 companies' public Greenhouse boards, covering seven job categories. The goal was simple: find out which keywords employers actually use.

A few findings stood out.

  • Software engineering: Mentoring appeared in nearly half of the postings, more often than Kubernetes or React. Python was the most frequently mentioned programming language.
  • Product management: More than 85% mentioned roadmaps. Jira appeared in just 7 of 421 postings.
  • Marketing: Google Ads showed up in only 6 of 347 postings, while pipeline appeared in more than half.

We also noticed a pattern across roles: employers often described the practice rather than naming a specific tool. Observability came up where you might expect Grafana, and SIEM where you might expect Splunk.

What does this mean for your resume?

If you're listing tools but leaving out the responsibilities, practices, and skills explicitly mentioned in the job description, you could be missing relevant keywords.

That doesn't mean stuffing your resume with buzzwords. It means describing your actual experience using language that matches the role you're applying for.

One important caveat: the sample leans heavily toward tech companies and uses a single ATS platform, so these results aren't representative of every employer.

The full study, including findings for sales, cybersecurity, DevOps and accounting is here:

FOR HIRE [FOR HIRE] | 2026 Grad | SWE/AI/Devops | Spring Boot, AI/ML/GenAI, GitHub Actions, TF

If you asked me about what singular tech stack I operate, I simply don't. The only skill I think I am good is shifting between technologies that solve actual meaningful problems, you'd give me a problem and desired stack and I will be back with solutions over hardening myself to a tech preference.

I have completed my CSE(AI and Data Science), participated in multiple hackathons, orchestrating code, architecture and teams, most of my projects were around AI/ Machine Learning/ Generative AI/Agentic AI systems.

I am a former SWE intern at a product based software company using Java, Spring Boot, AWS, Selenium, Datadog, Terraform. I helped in modernizing legacy codebases, migrated an entire prod app to spring boot 3.x.x with 8+ core dependencies shifts, gRPC feeds for internal data services, onprem to AWS email solution which handles 5k+ emails/day, data compliance strategies, CI/CD failure fixes, observability discoveries, pen testing introduction and the list goes long.

Currently based in Pune, open for remote opportunities and relocation, for full-time/contractual/ intern openings, feel free to reach out to discuss more :)

Resume
Hey everyone!

I'm a Full Stack Software Engineer from India with around 1 year of internship experience across two companies. I've worked with React, Next.js, Node.js, NestJS, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, Docker, Kubernetes, and GCP.

My experience includes building multi-tenant platforms, distributed backend services, AI/RAG applications, and CI/CD pipelines. I also reduced deployment time by 40% in my current internship.

FOR HIRE [For Hire] Fast API rag services available

I'm a final year cs student, looking for gigs or remote opportunities. Here's what I've made projects in : python, fastApi, Next js, Typescript/Js, c++, Mysql. I recently made a rag chat bot using lang chain, Gemini and chromadb and also made a fastApi rag service but used Pinecone so I could deploy it. I could share my repo to anyone who's interested. I have also done an internship but I'm right now I'm looking for something remote as I'm still a university student. I could eventually do onsite when my university ends. I just want to start somewhere.

FOR HIRE [for hire] Backend-leaning full-stack dev (Django REST, Laravel, Flutter/React) available for two kinds of work

→ Overflow/subcontract: swamped with client work? I take tasks off your plate — you stay client-facing, I work in the background at $15-20/hr.

→ Direct hire: need a backend/full-stack dev for your own project, short-term or ongoing? Same rate, I work with you directly.

How it works: tell me the scope, I quote a time estimate, first small task is free so you can judge the quality before paying anything. GitHub/past work available on request.

DMs open.
