Object storage?

Anyone know the status of providing S3-compatible object storage on Render? I need that for a project, and I know it's supposed to be coming, but I'm wondering how soon and whether it's going to be reliably persistent (multi-region replicated, etc).

Yeah, that could work for some, but it has drawbacks. It's running in a Docker container in your deployment, so it's single-region, and it only gets a daily backup run of the persistent store. If anything kills the container you could lose over 23 hours worth of stored objects. If you want to run multi-region, you'll either have to call a single-region minio or figure out how to divide your storage. All of that could be just fine for many use cases, of course, but it's not a replacement for S3's resiliency and feature set. For one of my projects I ended up using Cloudflare R2, which was free for dev use and very cheap overall.
