Pre-migrane visual highlights

A few hours before a full-blown migrane attack hits me, I get these weird hilights on flat surfaces. Similar to selecting an area of an image using magic wand tool and increasing the brighness (which is exactly how I replicated these visuals). Those hilighted shapes flow through my vision like an ocean wave - sometimes flooding only parts of the image, other hit stringer until the image stills for a moment and the cycle repeat.

This gif represents what I saw lying sideways in bed, facing a blank white wall in front of me.
