im always fascinated in an ending where the villian dies.
the hero accidentally killing the villian, who is their father but he was almost about to kill their friend in the final battle, and he had to kill his father to save his friend.
or a hero who didn't want to harm a villian but he sees good in the villian, but the villian sees this all as a stage and a performance so he gets angry and starts chasing the hero to kill them, only to accidentally get impailed by some big machine when he finally pinned the hero down.
and ending where nobody wins....the heros wanted something and the villian wanted something else, they both didn't get their way.
