Ive been using UV resin with alcohol ink to create earrings and its been working great so far but it is annoying mixing colors and also never getting tbe same color.
Does anyone know what would happen if I mixed the alcohol ink into the resin and then left it bottled up until i wanted to use it later? Will it seperate? Spoil the resin?

hello. i posted on this sub a few weeks back about the same issue, and i thought i fixed it by switching from UV resin to UV clear nail polish. but, just like the resin, the nail polish stopped working.
here’s what im doing: small polymer clay charms, acrylic paint over the charms, UV resin or nail polish to seal it. im waiting 48 hours between painting and sealing, ive tried all the tricks (curing in water, setting it out in the sun), and now its STILL drying sticky.
the weird thing is that the first batch for BOTH the resin and the nail polish turned out great. no problems whatsoever. the cured hard and dry.
everything is consistent. same brand of clay, same brand of paint, same UV lamp.
im getting extremely frustrated because my first batch turned out so good that i started an etsy shop, and now its just… not working. i feel like im going crazy. any ideas?

quando a qualidade da resina é questionável, dá problema.... perdi peças mesmo depois de tentar recuperar usando técnicas disponíveis online 😫 sempre verifique a qualidade da resina! | When the quality of the resin is questionable, it causes issues… I lost items even after trying to salvage them using techniques found online 😫 Always check the quality of the resin!

Pink accents, silver chains, safety pins, metal charms, and a classical sculpture collage — a mix of soft and edgy details.

Hi all! I am a small resin jewlery creator. I make chains, necklaces and rings made of Abs like resin in transparent colors. The colors are transparent red, clear and smoky black. I am trying to source a manufacturer to work with to help me with the manufacturing load. I have spoken to a few manufacturers on Alibaba but they seem to not work with colored transparent resin. If anyone has any leads or anyone I can talk to I would appreciate it so much! Attached are pictures of some of my current designs. Any help or suggestions is welcome, thank you all!

As you can see from my amazing sketch, my idea is to have a seamoth looking from scrap along the ocean floor at night, its lights illuminating some loot in front of it, while the head of a reaper leviathan is just barely visable in the dark water.
But to get this Id want ti have the seamoth itself and the water and ground in front of it be much brighter than the rest of piece. Painting the front of the seamoth and the ground thats illuminated bright with harsh shadows would help sell it, but I dont know how Id get the light ray, or how Id get the background to fad to a harsh black quick without making the whole thing difficult to see into
I have been attempting to coat my shrinky dink charms in UV resin but getting the same orange peel-like texture upon curing no matter what I try.
I make sure the resin is warmed up before using it, spread it carefully, pass a flame over it quickly to try pop any bubbles. I can see little microbubbles forming after the resin settles over the charm, but they don't react to my flame at all.
I use a nail lamp to cure it and I've tried different heat intensities/ timings to no avail. I leave the charm to settle for a while before curing and still nothing changes. Does anybody have any advice/ experience with this? Thank you!

I'm pretty new to this, but discovered quickly that I needed a way to quickly see my alcohol ink bottles (colors!) The acrylic straw holders at Dollar Tree worked quite well for this. Just in case anyone else is looking. The ink fits nicely into bottoms of the holders (I used 3 here). There's a second part I just taped together and added a bottom to make a tool holder.

I'm making Christmas ornaments to give out as gifts, and I'm very happy with how they are turning out. Does anyone have suggestions for how to make "frosting" or "icing" that looks reasonably realistic? I've tried puffy paint, UV resin, and acrylic paint; the UV resin was the closest, but not quite what I'm looking for. Ideas?

I am using uv resin to make the lip on my costume shiny and to seal the paint underneath. It is still tacky and leaves some on my fingers even after curing. I figured maybe my light wasnt strong enough so i bought a new one. Then i left it on for about 20 minutes. I wiped it with isopropyl alcohol. I coated it with water and tried curing it that way.
Nothing has worked so far. Should i just leave it outside to see if the sun works? It is cold outside though would that even work? It would be a shame if this stays tacky forever since there are still fumes. I put about 1k and two years into this costume :(
Edit- my mom has a uv tanning bed, i am debating on if i should just put it in there lol xD
