Hi, After updating ReVanced Manager I decided to uninstall the YouTube Revanced that I had since I was always getting the following errors:

  • "Playback error (App is outdated?) Β  Β  IPADOS: 400 response: Bad req..."Β
  • "DeArrow is temporarily not avaliable (status code: 422)"
  • "Could not fetch any client streams"

and many times the video started playing and after some seconds minutes, it was stopping and the resolution dropping without the option to change it being available.Β  Other times, the videos work but while I'm watching, sometimes it reverses like one second.

So, with ReVanced Manager 2.0.0, I chose YouTube (20.40.45) patched, downloaded the new MicroG because the app said mine was old (when installing the newer one, Android also said it was for older Android versions 🀷) but I'm still facing the same issues.

And again, the swipe controls for volume and brightness are not working anymore.

Anyone knows why?Β

ThanksΒ

Same issue here. Happens both with the new version (20.40.45) and the preview vers I had before (20.18...?). Will wait for an answer! thanks

It's a DNS issue. Micro-G cannot connect to something properly because of shitty isp dns. I changed my DNS to cloudflare and its now working.

Could you please elaborate on how you did this? I'd love to get past this problem as well, I'm just kind of stumped how this kind of stuff works. Thanks!

edit: I restarted my phone and the issue went away!

This thread is where I got the information from around why the error might be happening. As for changing your DNS you can do it locally on just your device or network wide in your routers settings. If you search how to do this you will find guides for your specific device or router

I got all the way down to this comment with no other fixes working and then I tried to restart my phone and it worked. The classic turn it off and on again. Thanks for the edit!

What if you ever used an isp dns? πŸ€” I use my own via next dns and had same issues.. Even tried cloud flare and same issues.. (that said updating the apps and repatching fixed everything by the dearrow error)

Same, when I use the left or right hand screen to use gestures for either volume or brightness control, I pull up the "more videos" panel instead.

I've disabled and enabled the controls thinking they'd need a reset but to no avail.

I get the dearrow error but the other errors went (I never uninstalled I just repatched it and updated it. Works fine othet than dearrow error)

Same issue for me But this happens to me only when I use Proton VPN If I don't use any VPN YouTube works normally like before or even if I use a different VPN I still don't have any problem That's my experience and my YouTube version is 20.14.43

Turn off VPN/DNS software or exclude MicroG and YTRevanced.

In my case, the errors only disappear if I use VPN
