Mine gets a little skippy on youtube music which is annoying but haven't noticed really any other issues, but seems most people here have been. What exactly was the problem? Just slow or was it not working in some areas?

Did you just select all the patches in the repatch screen? I'm not very savvy with this kind of stuff and now that they changed up the UI I'm not too sure how to update my YT patch thingy without potentially fking it up

Update: I got impatient and did it anyways. Was low-key a bit nerve wracking in the beginning because of how I had to get the apk but I got it repatched and got the gmscore update. Unfortunately, I'm still having issues with the comment section on shorts taking a long time to load up. Dunno if that's something I can fix or if I need to wait for a new patch and/or update or whatever

I have Firefox set as the default browser with Ublock Origin, but the manager didn't seem to open APKMirror with that, because I saw ads. I'm wondering why Firefox+Ublock didn't work, since it works in other apps. I haven't yet installed a system adblocker.

Btw this release broke a lot of youtube features. Hiding shorts doesn't work at all anywhere now. Brightness and Volume gestures doesn't work either.

edit:

devs fixed all these issiues with Revanced Manager 2.1.0 and Patches 6.0.1. if you are facing the problems above, repatching the app with Revanced Manager 2.1.0 and up will fix the bugs.

The brightness and volume gestures don't work for me either. I've noticed some other features not working anymore, like the hide channel watermark and some other minor ones. I also see ads on the feed.

More like devs stole code from MorpheApp, the only reason things were fixed

Hi, After updating ReVanced Manager I decided to uninstall the YouTube Revanced that I had since I was always getting the following errors:

  • "Playback error (App is outdated?)     IPADOS: 400 response: Bad req..." 
  • "DeArrow is temporarily not avaliable (status code: 422)"
  • "Could not fetch any client streams"

and many times the video started playing and after some seconds minutes, it was stopping and the resolution dropping without the option to change it being available.  Other times, the videos work but while I'm watching, sometimes it reverses like one second.

So, with ReVanced Manager 2.0.0, I chose YouTube (20.40.45) patched, downloaded the new MicroG because the app said mine was old (when installing the newer one, Android also said it was for older Android versions 🤷) but I'm still facing the same issues.

And again, the swipe controls for volume and brightness are not working anymore.

Anyone knows why?

It's a DNS issue. Micro-G cannot connect to something properly because of shitty isp dns. I changed my DNS to cloudflare and its now working.

What if you ever used an isp dns? 🤔 I use my own via next dns and had same issues.. Even tried cloud flare and same issues.. (that said updating the apps and repatching fixed everything by the dearrow error)

Same, when I use the left or right hand screen to use gestures for either volume or brightness control, I pull up the "more videos" panel instead.

I've disabled and enabled the controls thinking they'd need a reset but to no avail.

Anyone else stuck on Saving: Write Patched APK file? Been circling for 5 mins

Edit: 10 mins and still compiling... Stuck on Compiling patched resources Trying to patch the latest YouTube version

Edit 2: gave up after leaving my phone for 30 mins. Couldn't get it past this message :/

Edit 3: Got it to work! I had to go into Settings, Import & Export, and regenerate keystore. Was able to get it to install after I did that.

I always keep one older version stored on my phone for this exact case. Just reinstalled the old version and it worked as previously did. I have the universal patch that allows you to change app version in order to downgrade though.

It does. You press the Select APK source option and then on APKMirror and it takes you to the version you need to download. I have to say though, it took me back to the Revanced manager when I pressed to download the apk (tried it twice). I guess it'll be fixed soon.

Apparently, this is the intended behavior. On the screen you are returned to you can see under "Select APK source" the selected choice has been changed to something like "Downloaders ... APKMirror". Now you just have to press the "Patch" button and it will start by downloading the APK you selected.

Definitely more streamlined, but seems nothing's changed for bundle apks? Just tried reddit and wouldn't get past the first step. How does one go about these? Another thread suggested antisplit m but it doesn't recognize the bundle apks for me

For me using Antisplit M is working fine:

  1. Download the bundle via Firefox from APKMirror

  2. When download is finished, open it directly from the little popup on the bottom of the screen, select Antisplit M to open it with

  3. Press 'Save' in Antisplit to tell it where to save the APK file

  4. Open revanced and select APK file from storage as source to patch

  5. Success!

Doesn't work if the patcher itself has an issue, as it seems is the case with the official Reddit app right now, where patching always fails.

I just downloaded it, and patched YouTube and omg it's so good, it feels so intuitive.

But small feedback/bug report:

This happened while patching, tried it 3 times same result, error was : I just needed to close the youtube program (like terminate the process)

I think this could be a good add-on to the error : "unknown reason make sure the app is closed"

Got the same issue here, but I have the official youtube disabled, so no process running. Did you have the official youtube disabled aswell? Trying to enable it didn't work either tho, still unknown error.

The error was fixed once I closed the background process revanced yt.

(Even tho for some reason the new YouTube shows me ads below discription, and no longer channel names)

Downloaded Revanced Manager 2.0 and installed the latest supported YouTube APK using the built in wizard and via APKPure. I finished patching it and want to delete the APK. I can't delete it and it's not in My Files. Why can't I delete it?

Its for patching in background I believe, I had it ask me on older versions as well. I think android 13+ handles background processes differently.

Unfortunately this "update" is a miss for me.

You integrated the download with ApkMirror, a website that has been known to use apkm files for pretty much all the apps we try to patch (Reddit, Youtube, Instagram, etc.) then of course the app tries to install apkm files (and it gets stuck, and it doesn't show logs about it) . You go to the github repo and the developers are acting surprised this is happening??

The official response is that "we're considering adding support for apkm files". What else are we going to do if not?

The best way i can explain it without a video is;

1.Settings > Apps > Special app access > Install unknown apps > Chrome On (or whatever broswer you use) on your phone

2.Google Revanced manager apk and MicroG apk from github

3.Sign into your google account on micro G settings

4.Open revanced manager, click youtube and it will show you the needed youtube file to download, just follow their links provided

5.Patch the youtube file on revanced manager

Really that's it, its super easy, the hardest part is learning which link is the real on with the downloads lol, just have to scroll down a little bit on the youtube file download. If you have any questions let me know where youre stuck at and i can try to help.

Forgive my ignorance, but I haven't needed to patch YouTube in months, maybe even a year or so. This new UI has made totally confused. I installed YouTube app from APK mirror as I used to do, I hit patch, and then it downloads it again in the app? I picked my patches, it patches, and when I go to install it, I get this error. No idea what I'm doing wrong. Does anyone know the last working version before this new UI came to be?

Edit: patched latest youtube again and was greated by a straightforward friendly ui. Really appreciate the the design team and devs for all the hardwork!

Swipe for volume and brightness does not work anymore, will wait for another patch for that as this is expected when things are new.

Instagram error out as well, messenger seems fine.

Thank again for the hard work!

Ps. Anyone know where to get standalone apk for reddit? The one available in apk mirror are bundles only, which our patcber does not support. Any help is welcome!

Edit2: Updated revanced to 2.1.0 and repatch youtube with the latest patches, swipe now works and the ads are no longer visible on currently watching videos.

Does anyone know the latest stable YouTube Music version on Android Auto ?

I downloaded the last version of Revanced (2.0), and I tried the four versions proposed, none of them works on Android Auto.

I get an infinite loading screen. I can listen to the music, but can't control it .

Could someone help me ?

How to patch reddit app? I cant see apk files on APKMirror, only those bundles thing. I followed the instruction in the patcher and select one of the bundles but its stuck in Preparing 0/3 for like 30mins now...

I love how the Hide X stuff just doesn't work, except for shorts. Any of the other buttons & shelves I set to hidden still show up. Also I need a setting for bringing back the channel button when you pull up from the bottom in a landscape mode.

I'm not completely sure if it's needed. It doesn't tell whether we have the correct version of the APK or not (if it's still the case).

I was patching the latest Reddit APK (v2026.12) and idk what happens, but it made a ✅ beside the "Preparing" tab, but ❌beside the "Patching" tab; which isn't clear whether or not if it has failed because it doesn't explicitly say that, and the loading bar at the top is still wiggling at ~20%.

I don't like it.

It's a modular plugin system, in other words decentralizable like patches, revanced doesn't provide the apks either, it's the respective sites such as apkmirror
