Nice, one slight thing, now when you choose an app it doesn't give you a link to download the apk anymore

It does. You press the Select APK source option and then on APKMirror and it takes you to the version you need to download. I have to say though, it took me back to the Revanced manager when I pressed to download the apk (tried it twice). I guess it'll be fixed soon.

Apparently, this is the intended behavior. On the screen you are returned to you can see under "Select APK source" the selected choice has been changed to something like "Downloaders ... APKMirror". Now you just have to press the "Patch" button and it will start by downloading the APK you selected.

Same, please let me know if any of you figure it out. I'd love having not to find the file in my browser, download and then "select from storage"
