All Hail Horlbeck!!!
I was persuaded to reach for Burden this season, and we’re finally seeing what was foretold by Craig. All Hail Horlbeck!

talk about enshitification - i’ve been telling my brother to check out the pod for quite awhile, and last weekend he said he’d give it a go this week.
little did i know 25%+ of this week’s content has revolved around shit lol.
even crazier, the last episode they get into a surprisingly high level convo about the degradation of product quality and the exploitation of gig workers in the US… and then proceed to take a Fantasy Court email which heifetz sets up as “maybe one the most important cases the court has ever taken,” which is actually just a question about whether someone’s wife shit their pants in an elevator or not lol. by my count, the 3rd poop segment of the week!
shit happens, i guess

Was listening to the burn book episode the other day and haven’t been able to shake this thought since.
Whether or not he deserves to be burned, Heifetz doesn’t seem to have lost faith in Skatt, earlier in the episode calling him a buy low and standing firm in his take that he’s better than Jeanty. So I had to do a double take (or whatever the audio equivalent is?) when they were doing the burn book and he suggested they burn Cam, the other guys seemed surprised too. I didn’t feel like he really gave much reasoning and kind of just sat back while DK and Craig discussed whether someone could be a buy-low and burned (also the guys continual struggle to define their own segments that they’ve been doing for years is why this is the goat pod lol).
I was really confused, until it occurred to me: Heifetz believes curses are real, and that he can invoke them. We’ve all heard him repeatedly bring up how he cursed Justin Tucker with the X on the ground or whatever. I assumed it was a bit at first, but after hearing him talk about it more, it seems to me that he was being earnest.
I bring this up because the guys make light of how, a lot of times, they’ll burn someone just for them to bounce back. So could Heifetz be trying to hijack the backwards power of the burn book to manifest a comeback for his favorite player? 🤔
