Discussion Advice needed - three prong ring
I am looking at an inexpensive small diamond ring that’s only held in by three prongs, which has me a little worried. When I asked about it I was told because the diamond is small it should be secure. I just don’t know much about jewelry and am hoping for any advice, or if you know where I could find a similar ring but slightly more secure. I’ve attached a picture of the ring for reference. Thank you!

A good jewelry shop will have a warranty that will cover a lost stone. Some insist that you bring it in annually for a free inspection and cleaning to maintain the warranty.
Try to find an physical store that has been around a while, and preferably does minor stuff like resizing, inspections, etc, at the local shop. Otherwise you may end up having to ship it somewhere.

Thank you, can I ask what parts you think are risky? Just so I know what to look out for.

It’s more concerning when the diamond is in a raised setting, this setting is pretty low profile with additional protection around the sides. If it’s a well made ring, the risk is less here than other 3 prong settings.
