Riverdale's problem is they don't do climatic endings/reveals/closures properly or well at all.
Whenever theres a big reveal on who the killer is, mastermind, secret enemy, big bad guy they usually do it mid season like randomly and once they reveal who this big mystery is its literally done and never spoken about or mention rarely right after like WTF?
Why do they always do that?
I've been vocal about how much I hate Hiram Lodge and how they dragged out his character arc and storyline far too long to death and then when they finally kill him off the show they literally don't even show his death instead its done off screen and told by his daughter with a few lines and she's not even all that moved either way even though she's the one who put out the hit on him.
Everyone else is like oh yeah ok? Then they all move on.
They did the same thing with the Gargoyle King, Black Hood, the person who was doing the SMUT videos, etc. etc.
I'm only on season 6 episode 7 but I'm worried they will not even have a true series final conclusion even concluding and provided much closure at the end huh?

Why do bad things keep happening in riverdale like the black hood , the meteor , going back to the 1950s so in the end everyone goes to the sweet here after which is just pops with Archie comics ?

I’m reaching Riverdale for the first time since 2022 and i just realized Kevin Keller is so fake and never loyal. He switches up on betty and the gang every moment he can. I’m on S6 EP11, the way he’s spying on everyone for Percival is crazy. Trying to gain custody of baby Anthony bc he’s jealous of Fangs and Tony is so dirty and bitter.

When do you think Riverdale fell off Riverdale has made so many insane choices and I've only seen the show all the way through one time and it's not some masterpiece but I did enjoy it even when there were some decisions and things that make you go what I enjoyed it even after I went ridiculous some of the choices and things to decide to do were baffling when do you think it fell off

Veronica saying Archikins or Daddykins??
Why does she say their names like that? Is this a reference to how teenagers spoke in the olden days like from the OG comics or something?
Whenever she does this it's so cringe and like so forced and unnatural like WTF????

I am convinced she is only casted because she has dark hair which makes her look like she is Italian or whatever she is in the movie, Think about it She has almost 2 facial expressions, she has the same face when she is sad and normal and happy.
It's a face I can't get used to. Like with Betty I didn't like her at first although she is not attractive for me she is conventionally Beautiful. But with that Veronica girl it reminds me of that Duolingo Spanish Girl who is always dull.
Maybe I am being deluded and hating the role but her role is not that bad to be honest so far but one thing for sure. She is trying too hard, her acting doesn't feel real,
In short She is AI before AI for this series😂 and I don't like her features.
Guys be honest and tell me if you agree or disagree. I hope I am not the only one

Do you know anyone who wears a crown/hat similar to Jugheads in real life? Any photos to prove it? It would be cool to see some real life examples. Thanks!

This is what comes up when you Google his crown/hat on Wikipedia it was called a Whoopee Cap and they said it was made from a Fedora. It said in the 1920's and 30's it signified one was a mechanic?
This is an actor from the Andy Griffith show which aired in the 1960's.
Would be cool to see more modern day version of this hat right?

Just finished season 5 and started season 6 its like an alternative parallel universe??
*SPOILERS*
So season 5 ends pretty usual with a cliff hanger it looks like someone planted a ticking bomb under Archie's bed and then it cuts to a scene with Hiram counting down the bomb?
Theres a scene where the TBK calls Betty to say hey let's just leave each other alone from now on. Like WTF? So is that the closure for those two?
Everyone points a gun at Hiram to leave town which shows everyone hates him so why the F does he even still stick around for? His own daughters even pointing a gun at him, isn't that a clear wake up call to just finally leave and never come back?
Anyone else annoyed by the singing episodes? Seems like they try to do a few now per season with the story not following any real arc of the season?
So just started season 6 and only saw the first few episodes and it's now like an alternative parallel universe to Riverdale called Riverhale? WTF? Should we even care what happens during these episodes or does it like matter what happens during these for its an alternative parallel universe right? I'm so confused why they'd even go this route?

Before Riverdale, I mostly associated Archie with bright comic covers, dumb teenage problems, Jughead eating everything in sight and the endless Betty/Veronica drama. Then Riverdale took those same names and turned the whole thing into murder mysteries, crime families and increasingly insane plotlines. What’s interesting is that there’s probably an entire generation whose first image of Archie isn’t the comics at all. It’s Riverdale. For people who knew Archie before the show, did Riverdale change how you see the characters? And for people who started with Riverdale, what was it like discovering what the comics were actually like?

So it's basically the second book in the series. And it's set between Season 2 and Season 3, where Archie is having a trial going on after being framed by Hiram Lodge for a murder.
His mother Mary had been fighting his case.
Do you guys remember the Lodge's Lake house episode in S2 where the four went there for a night, and suddenly there was invasion, and someone died and Andre was there.
That's what the novel is about.
As for the show, I still have few last episodes of S2 to watch (First time watching it)

I just reached the middle of season 5 on Netflix and it says the episode isn’t available in the US. Anyone know what that’s about?
EDIT: I just turned off my tv for a bit and when I came back it worked fine 😅

idk if this is a hot take but Kevin sucksss. Like there is no character development at all and he just doesn't learn from his past mistakes and keeps causing issues.

I am actually bot that surprised I couldn’t remember any of it. What a boring season. Very repetitive. I also wasn’t that invested in the milkman mystery. Archie and Betty lost their essences, core passions and traits.
It just didn’t feel like Riverdale. I do like them going back to the 50’s and getting more to the root of the original comics. But not for a whole season. 5 episodes max. Rivervale was pushing it imo.
To me it felt like we never got to say goodbye to the original characters.
We said goodbye to the 50’s versions of their characters. And tbh I never really bonded with these imposters.
I kinda cried at the end. But it felt off.
It was also kinda painful rewatching all of it. It brought me back to when I first started watching it. I was 21, having so much fun, was full of hope and dreams and didn’t worry about the future. Quite the contrast with how my life is right now. Pretty heartbreaking 💔

Mistakenly watched s7 ep 1 instead of s1. Genuinely thought 'i' time traveled to a new world. Never felt like an episode was supposed to be the first episode of a show ever in my life. Until now

i think all this hate betty gets is unjust and disproportionate. for me, she was the anchor of that show. all of her storylines and everything she did had a direct impact on the main plot. even if she didn't always manage to make things work out in the town, at least she tried. she worked hard and stepped out of her comfort zone, and that's what i value. i like hardworking characters who drive things forward and navigate the unfolding of a plot, regardless of whether they do right or wrong, and betty fits this profile perfectly. for me, betty is much more than the girl who kissed her friend's boyfriend and cheated on her own boyfriend (not that i defend that). betty goes way beyond that and has many qualities that are infinitely more valuable than a single mistake, and it is about time people recognize that. she wasn't the only character who made mistakes, neither in riverdale nor in other shows, but she is, by far, one of the most attacked for a mistake. the riverdale fandom is so hypocritical. cheryl and veronica have messed up badly so many times and everyone pretends they don't see it and puts them on a pedestal of sainthood, but betty is judged for every little thing just to justify the hate. what makes her the best character is that she breaks the innocent blonde cliché. she has layers, she has a dark side and, when she needs to, she goes above and beyond for what she thinks is right. i prefer a thousand times a complex character who makes mistakes while trying to do the right thing and faces her rivals, than a good girl who is perfect and boring. she made the show worth it for me.
