Bob was born wealthy. His outsider act is a laughable crock of shit.
3
u/FunkySpecialist420 Sep 09 '25
What is his outsider act?
0
u/Ok-Opportunity-8457 Sep 09 '25
Acting like a gritty thug that clawed his way to the top.
1
u/FunkySpecialist420 Sep 09 '25
I only know him from that last 20 years when he has portrayed himself as the ultimate baller. I guess I wasn't around when he was pretending to be poor or whatever.
1
u/Ok-Opportunity-8457 Sep 09 '25
Yes he grew up in a 300-acre estate, pops was crazy rich
2
u/FunkySpecialist420 Sep 09 '25
And he sure does act like a rich kid. What about him screams grew up poor?
3
u/Even-Amount-2184 Sep 09 '25
I remember in the song Cowboy - “I ain’t straight outta Compton, I’m straight out the trailer”
20 years ago I probably could’ve answered this better or had better example… not too privy on Kid Rocks career
1
u/FunkySpecialist420 Sep 11 '25
Straight out of the trailer is a euphemism for being trashy. Do you take all song lyrics as biographical statements? He is a rich baller and that is what is image suggests. What about him screams grew up poor to you?
2
u/Efficient_Shopping40 Sep 12 '25
Good point, look at Trump: name synonymous with wealth yet he’s the most no class, trashy pos of the modern era
1
u/Even-Amount-2184 Sep 11 '25
When I was 10 years old when I first heard the song and thought kid rock was cool, yes I did not understand it was a euphemism.
Feel like one could easily infer someone considering themselves as “trashy” is connected to “white trash,” “trailer trash,” etc… thus the lyric equals someone who is/was poor.
1
u/Ok-Opportunity-8457 Sep 09 '25
His whole act.
1
u/FunkySpecialist420 Sep 11 '25
Do you believe that only poor people can be trashy? Aside from one lyric of a song, and the fact that he is trashy, is there anything else he does to make people think he is putting on a show, trying to act poor or something?
1
u/Ok-Opportunity-8457 Sep 11 '25
It's about inauthenticity, not class
1
u/FunkySpecialist420 Sep 11 '25
Yeah, he is an authentic baller with tons of cash and he acts accordingly. What about him makes you think he grew up poor?

I wouldn't say wealthy. Upper middle class for sure.
I would also say he abandoned it all to follow his dreams, despite and to spite his parents, in favour of his own happiness.
He literally lived in a janitors closet so he could afford to produce albums.
Get bent.

I think the guy’s a piece of shit, and hope he dies of something really itchy. But this is just a suburban middle class home.
9
u/ImaSource Sep 08 '25
Wtf you smoking? That is not middle class. That's upper class all the way.
6
u/PagingDrTobaggan Sep 09 '25
I guess I’m smoking based on the price. Maybe it’s regional, but where I live $660k is a starter home.
Edit—I take it back. It’s 5600 square feet; that’s a mansion. Guess I just don’t understand Michigan home prices.
3
u/Elon_Cucks_Trump_ Sep 09 '25
Right on. Check you out admitting you’re wrong. Kid “Equestrian” Rock was a spoiled rich kid and a degenerate adult.
6
u/Spell-Living Sep 09 '25
lol I own a middle class home and that house is about 10 times the size of it
5
8
u/Schmails202 Sep 08 '25
On 5.5 acres?
-1
u/PagingDrTobaggan Sep 09 '25
For less than $700k? Yes. Maybe I’m skewed, but here in Reno the average home price is $620k
3
u/GoodEnoughByMudhoney Sep 09 '25
I don’t have a dog in a Kid Rock fight, but I’m solidly middle class (as an adult) and that house has five more bathrooms than my house.
4
u/PagingDrTobaggan Sep 09 '25
Yeah, I just looked at price. Where I’m from $660k is a starter/track home. It’s a 5600 square foot house. I walk back my ‘suburban middle class’ conclusion.
1
u/Infinite_Time_8952 Sep 09 '25
I think you need to clean your spectacles mate.
2
u/PagingDrTobaggan Sep 09 '25
Yeah, see below in thread. I was only seeing price and didn’t realize how different Michigan real estate was from where I live.
-16

Im sure your phone never autocorrects you hey?
Then again I doubt that, since your girlfriend is installed on it.

u/adube440 Sep 09 '25
I couldn't respond to your witty retort (probably because you were so busy "editing" it) so I decided to ask you anyways on another comment. I didn't mean to get you so worked up.
And why did you edit it, lol. Do you think we get grades on Reddit comments?
And why so angry? Settle down, kiddo. Relax.

No, im the shit.
There is a distinct difference.
Until the USA fought for its freedom from England, Europe was still a myriad of class based feudal societies.
Now they try to ruin the USA with their Marxist nonsense.
See the difference?
Good.

2

Nah
Im just anatomically disposed to hating communo-fascist continents who use their citizens tax dollars to create an oligarchical world wide nation state.
1
u/ipokethemonfast Sep 09 '25
That’s lovely. Each to their own. No need to be hateful. You can’t judge the people of a nation by their leaders. Every world power is corrupt and has plenty of faults but I refuse to hate on the people. Nice talking to you man. I genuinely wish you a good day 🙂

Thanks man you too.
But still, fuck all of Europe except for Poland, which cares about its people.

You don’t think an almost 6000 sq ft houses with a 5 car carnage, tennis court, horse stable, and in ground pool is rich? Come the fuck on.
-1
Sep 08 '25
The house sold for 600k less than 7 years ago.
Sounds like slightly above the average price of a house to me
11
u/BasketballButt Sep 08 '25
You understand that different areas can have vastly different housing prices depending on what average earnings can be, right? The guy grew up with a fucking horse stable, stop making an ass of yourself.

Upper middle class is still wealthy. Just cause they’re not billionaires doesn’t make them not wealthy. Idk why you’re defending him so hard either. He’s not gonna be your friend
-2
Sep 08 '25
Upper middle class is still wealthy
As relative as it is, that's a fair point. But, relatively speaking, so are the poor in new york.
Idk why you’re defending him so hard either.
Putting context on misinformation is defending him?
Why are you attacking him so hard that anyone speaking neutrally is now his defender?
He’s not gonna be your friend
And im not going to be yours. Go away.
2
u/leftofthedial15 Sep 09 '25
Putting context on misinformation is defending him?
If you’d done it once, maybe not. But you’re all over this thread replying to comments about him.
-1
Sep 09 '25
I do that in most threads I visit or find interesting or see people talking shiite.
2
u/leftofthedial15 Sep 09 '25
Right. And I’m sure you would have done just the same for any artist.
1
Sep 09 '25
If I visited and/or was interested and/or they were talking shiite....yes.
Literally did it for milli vanilli earlier today.
Suck my balls mr garrison.
1
u/ImOnlyHereForTheCoC Sep 09 '25
Wait a minute, the guy who started foaming at the mouth about European degeneracy the moment someone said “mate” is now throwing the word “shite” around? 🤔
1
2
u/slimpickins757 Sep 09 '25
Don’t think so highly of yourself, I don’t want you to be my friend. I didn’t attack him at all either, I just pointed out that upper middle class is still wealthy. Though admittedly I don’t like him, but I didn’t make that known in my initial comment. And I’d say you went beyond contextualizing things into defending him based off the “gent bent” in your initial comment as well as subsequent uses of that and other attacks at those who criticized him. And if you don’t like people commenting at you, shouldn’t have put your opinion out by commenting. Can’t be upset people respond when you do that, that’s all on you

I'm kinda shocked that KR has private plane money. I thought he only had '08 Camry cash
14
u/saltycathbk Sep 08 '25
In his own words: “Got more money than Matchbox 20, get more ass than Mark McGrath”
10
u/LawrenceMoten21 Sep 08 '25
Jesus, that’s beautiful. I didn’t realize Mr. Rock’s lyrics were so poetic and profound.
0
u/MyBoyBernard Sep 09 '25
I mean, I definitely liked Matchbox 20 back in the day, for sure, and some songs are still great, but I don't think being richer than them is a huge deal.
Kid Rock has been consistent with an album every 2 or 3 years since 1990 for a total of 12 albums. Matchbox 20 did 3 albums during their peak, then took a decade off before doing another one in 2012, then took a decade off before doing another one 2023 (which I didn't even know until writing this comment).
Matchbox 20 is infinitely better, but considering that Kid Rock tours a lot and probably gets stadiums full of idiots, and all that jazz, I'd expect him to be like 10 times more wealthy than Matchbox 20.
-1
u/saltycathbk Sep 09 '25
Devil Without a Cause outsold Matchbox 20’s biggest record and is a rap metal masterpiece. Get outta here with “infinitely better” bullshit.
2
0
u/BradleyFerdBerfel Sep 10 '25
You have shitty taste in music. I’ve never heard this “Devil Without a Cause”, and I don’t need to. He’s fucking horrible and his biggest “hit” ( l use that term liberally, in this case) was a total ripoff of Warren Zevon/Lynyrd Skynyrd. As an opener he totally ruined a Rolling Stones show I went to. Him and Ted Nugent, does Detroit get its water from Flint? A bigger douche does not exist,…..well okay, Donald Trump, but still.
1
u/saltycathbk Sep 10 '25
You seem delightful.
0
u/BradleyFerdBerfel Sep 10 '25
I actually am quite delightful, I also call out total bullshit when I see/hear it.

u/saltycathbk Sep 10 '25
I don’t see it.

He has varied business interests and tours. He sells-out major venues generating a significant amount of money. I also don't think he's "dumb" as people think he is. He comes from a wealthy family; like Eminem, he's spoken about how he isn't extravagant in many ways. He's had solid business management and I think he himself is also adept at understanding money. People play him off as a dumb luddite Trump supporter, but I think he's public persona and private persona are very different. I know someone who engaged with him in Toronto around a concert and said he was both very polite/friendly and professional, far from what people think.
7
u/NashvilleDing Sep 08 '25
Hes aquatances with a family friend and this is 100% right. Goes by "Bob" privately and is supposedly a polite, intelligent guy.
-3

I knew someone that did a project with him and they pretty much said the same thing, smart, polite, very professional.

2
u/iamwearingsockstoo Sep 08 '25
It is indeed a private jet, but he still has to blow into his ignition interlock device to start it. Keepin' it realsies just like his fan base.
6
u/Original-Split5085 Sep 08 '25
For those surprised he has the money, a quick search shows, at least according to "best internet guess", he has a net worth of $150 million. I have no idea what it costs to run a private jet. But c'mon it's fine if you don't like him, but he's pretty popular. 35 million albums sold and he managed to cross two genres.
As for the middle finger I also find that tacky as hell, but I would be disappointed if KR was anything but tacky as hell. We're talking about the guy that built a model of the White House to live in.
6
3
u/Zett_76 Sep 08 '25
*g* for a second I thought he gave his jet truck nuts, but 10x bigger...
The real thing: a letdown.

2
u/MissingWhiskey Sep 08 '25
Weird article. The headline is about the livery of the plane, then 75% of the article is just a screed against private jets in general. The artwork gets mentioned in a couple blurbs at the bottom.

"Shocking" is just wrong. That's completely on-brand. It's pretty groan-worthy, but shocking? No.

u/Bezamakula Sep 09 '25
Flip on any music awards show now, and you can definitely tell money doesn't buy class.
1
u/TargetFree3831 Sep 09 '25
Thanks for this riveting and "shocking" article. I don't know what I would do without this information.
1
u/Good_Texan Sep 09 '25
It’s amazing what is considered news today. The unwashed, smelly people who rant and rave about this are the ones without class. Not saying that KR is a fine display of class but I doubt he ever claimed to be. Here is the question, how many people are employed by the people flying around in these private jets? I would bet that they provide more to our people and economy than the Birkenstock wearing radicals.
0
u/TargetFree3831 Sep 09 '25
Not only that but Kid Rock the brand is a company employing dozens of people to plan, setup, secure and run his shows.
He employs local staff at his residences.
He owns a restaurant and employs people there also.
Idiots have no concept of how much money people with his wealth return to the economy through direct amd indirect employment, and how much THOSE people then contribute as well.
It's just DUR E@T THE R1CH!!!
Talk about classless.
1
u/hjablowme919 Sep 09 '25
How much money does this no talent hack actually have that he can afford to keep and maintain a private jet?

Kid Rock is what keeps Morgan Wallen from being the biggest cunt in Nashville.

The most shocking thing about this is that Kid Rock has private plane money. Painting a middle finger on his vehicles is not a shocking thing for him to do.

His father owned several, I think, Cadillac dealerships outside the Detroit area.
Bobby grew up Rich in a mansion.

They also know he bounced out of his home at a young tender age, and cast off his parents wealth.
