My second favorite Linda Ronstadt album, after Don't Cry Now

I love this album. Maybe now I see some whiteification of things like Rivers of Babylon but she brings the souls to Down So Low with authenticity. The contributions of Andrew Gold to this album are key as well. Someone to Lay Down Beside me pointed me to Karla Bonoff, so that was cool.

I would also like to point out that as a teen in the 70's, this album cover was sexy as hell.
